Get about 50 forensic accountants with law degrees and badges and turn them loose on anything Trump was involved in.  Put a bounty on the Trump family - send one to jail and get a million dollar bonus.

Actually, I hope the FBI is already doing this.

Money laundering.

I was visiting my brother in Austin a few weeks back and he's pointing out buildings that seemed to be doing find but are now abandoned or buildings that have businesses that seem like they should be possible (a store that sells nothing but lamp shades--not lamps, just the shades--located in prime real estate) and I'm like, "Money laundering. It's always money laundering." I don't actually know if it's money laundering but I sure wouldn't be surprised.

It's a well known fact that most lamp shades are bought with cash.  Who wants to pay interest on a lampshade?

In Marietta GA there are a couple of Taquerias that have been there for a decade, never have any business even at peak times and have ten people working inside. Latinos I know said never eat there because they wash the money, not the dishes.

Sell the assets (mailing list)

Give big payout to the directors

Close up shop

Easy peasy

I would never say that BSAB but every PAC is a money laundering scheme.

These PACs aren't necessary when the "liberal media" keeps reporting negatively about Democrats.

Since when did non-profits not have owners?  I mean, yeah, no one's (supposed to be) making money off of them due to the whole "non-profit" thing.  But that doesn't mean that they don't have assets, and those assets belong to somebody.

Under all the state corporation codes I am aware of - and that's 5 or 6 anyway - nonprofits absolutely do NOT have shareholders or owners.

Nonprofits are founded for a purpose and their assets are supposed to serve that purpose.  They don't serve owners or shareholders.

And, ergo, all Trump profits, if ever, are for non-profit for tax reasons.

Yeah, a non profit owns itself.

Trump managing to run a nonprofit would be a massive, and very suspicious, improvement from his usual hemorrhage cash like a severed femoral artery track record.

Non profit does not mean people work for free. They are known for giving out large salaries to the people at the top and no-show jobs on the side. They don't generate money on their own, but people are still making bank.

Since forever.  I set up a non-profit years ago that currently has over half a million in the bank.  One of the requirements of becoming a 501(c)(3) was that we had to designate another entity, which also had to be a 501(c)(3) to "inherit" any cash or tangible assets we acquired if we ever ceased operations.  The rules are the same for 501(c)(4)'s

However, again, 501(c)(3)'s have strict rules about using assets to benefit "insiders"   Salaries of executives and board members require extensive justifications and "comp" analysis.   Not-for-profits are a different animal. and those can be essentially looted by the c-suite to avoid posting a profit.    Most hospitals for example are not-for-profits
