They should've seized his entire farking collection and he should be sent to every country represented in that collection--on the day of their national holiday--and be forced to walk around the capital city center wearing a sandwich-board sign declaring "I stole artifacts from this country" on one side, and "Because I'm rich" on the other, while clanking a GoT-style shame bell.

Who gives their money to someone that steals?

Why is subby worried about the hedge fund pioneer's wife's shoes?

If one billionaire can steal $70 million from 11 countries, how many billionaires would it take to steal $500 million from 23 countries?

Kinda pointless when the British museums still own most of Egypt and Greece and have a list of bullshiat excuses a mile long.

Just come out and say it: You trust Northern white people to protect these items better than those sort of white but definitely southern/ lower class Greeks and those definitely Muslim Egyptians. Sound right?

So he "voluntarily" returned the times and suddenly he isn't charged with anything? Why not send him to jail and then return the evidence at a later date? Sure sounded like there was a slam-dunk case here for the prosecutors.

I'm sure the thief and smuggler with little time left on the planet will totally respect this restriction.

"For decades, Michael Steinhardt displayed a rapacious appetite for plundered artifacts without concern for the legality of his actions, the legitimacy of the pieces he bought and sold, or the grievous cultural damage he wrought across the globe"

No shiat.....he's a hedge fund guy.  You think he gives a fark about laws?

For the billionaire at least he had good lawyers.  If you or I did that, we'd have been convicted of "fencing for ISIS" and be put on a "no live" list.
