(Some Guy)   Martin Frk: possible NHL/Fark media star with his last name and 109 mph slap shot. Stuck as a top scorer in the minors at 28 because at that age, you're considered an AHL lifer. Or the LA Kings hate having offense (LA subby adds tag for team colors)   ( divider line

Yeah, I used to go to some games when I was young.  The North Stars (fark teh farking Stars right up their star hole!) had teams that would fight a bit, and always dump the puck into the end, go fetch it and feed it to the point where they would make a huge shot at goal.  It rarely worked.

Soccer is more interesting.  Way more interesting.  Fark, golf and baseball are more interesting.

If he was any good, he'd be in the NHL.

The Red Wings wasted a 2nd round pick on him along with a lot of time and money and he still couldnt crack their regular roster (of some of the worst hockey teams ever fielded by a NHL club). The Wings even brought him back after letting him go on waivers to Carolina (who also waived him after 1 season) and he still wasnt any good for a Wings team that was desperate for ANYBODY that could contribute some offense. He subsequently went to the Kings who also gave up on him fairly quickly.

He's had multiple chances with multiple teams and never really succeeded. There's a reason why he's pegged as a "great minor leaguer" in the same way there are a lot of great college football players that never amounted to anything in the NFL.
