It doesn't involve murdering animals and as a consumer you don't have to eat animal flesh which is pretty farking disgusting if you really think about it.

All of the flavour and food culture, none of the guilt.


And eventually, the food can be produced locally with less stress on the environment?

Remember : More than 1/2 of the "food" we grow goes to animals for a year+ so that we can throw away like 50% of their mass as well as creating enormous amounts of animal waste.
