"Big raises in for workers in store for 2022"

A new report is expected this week from the Conference Board that will reveal companies are setting aside an average of 3.9 percent of total payroll for wage increases in 2022

Also: Inflation OCT20->OCT21= 6.2%

Their sales Q3 sales were up 20% over 2019 and they're operating expenses were about level. And they're complaining about a 3% increase in labor costs?

Get stuffed.

Speaking as a stooge working down on the street since 1970, it's no fun when the bosses gimme danger to search and destroy.  What makes them think I wanna be your dog?

Sadly, it'll probably work when it comes to retention.

Once you're used to a place, you learn to settle for a lot.

That said, I recently left my job for a new one and have been so happy to not have to deal with the nonsense anymore. Sure, there will be some issues with the new job (no job is perfect), but the difference has been night and day. People happy to be at work?  That's a hell of a thing for me to see.
