Even without a campus, a verification letter accepted in May by the Florida Department of Education indicates St. Sebastian met state requirements as a religious institution "and is not subject to governmental oversight" through May 31, 2022.

It's a Christian College.  No need for any oversight, Christians never do anything unethical.

Yup worst boss I ever had would always bring up how he was a deacon in his church and how godly he was. Usually it was right before he screwed you over. I knew way too many of his secrets and was waiting for the chance to send them to head office. Good thing he had no idea how to work a scanner.

There's a million or so people out there just like them. They spend the entirety of their young lives when they're supposed to be getting an education, playing sports and flat out ignoring basic academics because they're all utterly convinced they're going to play in the NFL or NBA and get rich someday.  All they need is the right exposure and being noticed for their talent with a ball. They don't need no readin' or writin' for that. Prisons are full of former high school football heroes who never got noticed. They all coulda been contenders y'know.

Idiocracy, indeed.

It's funny you say that, saw yesterday that the former Louisiana College upgraded to Louisiana Christian University and proceeded to steal a high school's logo and give it the Vanilla Ice treatment. "See, we changed it! It's not even looking the same way anymore!"

You think a government run high school can run a class telling people that religious institutions are frauds? Good luck with that. They can't even get them to teach that slavery was bad.

Roy was a Christian.  He and Dale often appeared on The 700 Club and other evangelical shows.

They also adopted a pile of kids, some with disabilities, some from other countries, and took in a British girl who couldn't be adopted.

So they get a Get Out of Hell Free card.

The ages of the players seem to be 19-22.

Pro Tip.  If you are from 19-22 years of age and you aren't already playing on a real college football team then you aren't good enough, a) to play college football and b) to ever play pro football.

No. You might not qualify academically for college. So now we have a whole cottage industry of bottom feeders trying to cater to this market (see also: Bishop Sycamore).

I tutored football players in my undergrad days, and it was depressing.  These guys could barely do Algebra I.  One guy just couldn't grasp the concept of "negative numbers".  I knew every one of them was going to end up back in their hometown once their eligibility was used up, with few marketable skills and a lot of new, significant injuries but no medical coverage.
