Here is the latest Ecmo Song:  Stream EcmoRandomNumbers by Xarg | Listen online for free on SoundCloud

It is not yet done, but I had to share it with you since it has the lyrics in there, and if you wanted to play it for your father, Ecmo, just cough when the word 'Marijuana' comes up :)

It has the six-part harmony, but that is what I'm working on now, to align all the singers.  I recorded three takes of each part, and and picked the 'best' bits of each one, to get each track, and adjusted the different levels of the pieces.  After post-production processing of the vocals, I plan to adjust the dynamics, add the big bass drum, gong, and more cymbals, maybe piano, and guitar.  I have learned a lot, a lot of techniques I never knew before.  Maybe orchestral stuff will infiltrate into my regular recording now.  I hope you enjoy it.

I was up unto 6:00 a.m. today from last night as there was an Atlas rocket that was supposed to go off at 4:15 a.m.  but it went off at 5:19 instead.  It was too foggy to see it though but the fog was pretty cool.  They sent up some laser communication experimentation satellite, so it was cooler than your generic GPS spacecraft target.  It has extra rockets to move around in orbit and test laser comms instead of radio.

What you should do is add a 9 to the last chord. I'm obsessed with the music from "The Good Fight" on TV. The last chord of the intro music ends on a desk exploding and a choir yelling a sprechstimme chord. (That's the German music term for speak-sing.) It doesn't have a tone, really; it's just vocals being belted out, but what it does in that chord is fantastic.

OK, a 9, I think this is in D-minor, so a 9th would be a C?

I think the add 9 was missing from that chord. I like it. I'd like to hear it at least an octave higher than the alto line.

OK, could try it.  Excuse me while I clip my balls off and sing that part.

Can't you just raise it in the editing software?

OK, updated, same place. I left the first edit in there too, just added another E an octave higher, sung by a virtual castrati.

That works.

Far out!  You can download from that site and carry a boombox with your wherever you go so that your theme music can play whenever you enter a room.  When it is done, I'll get you a full CD-quality version. same for Cryptic's, which needs a lot of work. Then I'm probably gonna do a ghost one for the Iron Island Museum.

That is a better idea.  Phew, caught me just in time.

Hahahahaa, that was close!

Heheh, the editing software puts a lot of castrati out of business.
