Sadly, the racehorse who died yesterday, (Medina Spirit), head was now available!

Meadows and his attorney George Terwilliger ... could not come to terms with lawmakers on an arrangement to work with them.

The terms, being, the truth.

In control of what?

Sounds like he wanted immunity, realized that they were finding out more than he wanted and realized that immunity was probably off the table, then decided its best to just shut up because he can't offer enough for immunity anymore and the only thing talking can do at this point is give more fuel for the fire that will be his eventual trial.

Wonder if he's going back to trying to claim executive privilege?  Of course, that'll be difficult since he wrote a book about most of what he heard and saw, plus there's the whole "Trump isn't president" thing that prevents it as well...  time to break out the handcuffs I guess

2021-12-07 10:43:26 AM
It turns out that Mark Meadows is, in fact, an asshole. News at 11.

2021-12-07 11:10:31 AM
More delaying and deflecting.  Since he's already been subpoenaed, what's next?  The committee vote to turn his case to the DOJ, the House vote to turn his case to the DOJ so there MIGHT be some action by March?

2021-12-07 11:26:33 AM
My guess is he intended to do this the whole time, as a delay tactic.  I do not assume good faith.

Must be pretty bad if he's unable to hamstring the committee from within.

No more games asshole. Everyone thinks you're a treacherous snake of a human being, prone to extended bouts of hysteria and psychosis.

You want to know about Gerrymandering, Asheville North Carolina is as much liberal and progressive as is Brattleboro Vt, but Mark Meadows was their USRep., until he became SoS #4 for TFG.
Who took his place? Maddy Cawthorn

THATs what's wrong with Gerymandering

Terwilliger pointed to how, the committee had issued at least one subpoena to third parties for Meadows's cell phone records, which Meadows intended to turn over voluntarily after screening them for privileged material.

He's upset because this ruined his ability to lie to them.

Sounds like Meadow's fresh new book will just have to reveal what happened, instead of its author -- because if he said it, that would no longer be private and privileged and marketable.

Or a five minute remote hearing with a judge, then promptly back to insider trading.

What happens next?

SCOTUS ends Congress's subpoena "power", at least until next year.

Well he wakes up every morning with a horse's ass in his bed. The head is probably a nice change of pace.

Wouldn't surprise me if one of Trump's other lackeys reminded him that there are gators in the swamp if he cooperated.

2021-12-07 11:39:16 AM
So he was only willing to 'cooperate' when he thought that meant he could dictate what questions they could, and could not, ask him.

Got time for Hannity, but can't find time to do this other shiat. Ok.
I think the most brazen statement in the whole article was from the lawyer.

Suggesting that We the people have no right or standing to demand accountability for/from officials of the government via congress - our representatives.. shows you exactly what these assholes really think about Democracy. They already play like it's dead, they are accountable to nothing, no creed, no anthem but themselves above all others. They feel freedom means freedom from consequences of their actions - the fact they exist within out borders is irrelevant, they would do this anywhere to any system they control.

2021-12-07 11:50:15 AM
Has the "executive privilege" argument been heard and ruled on yet? Probably should get on that, since it's sort of important we make sure people learn the truth about 1/6 and those responsible receive consequences.

To be fair they don't pay taxes, so are sovereign citizens.  Why do you hate America?
Oh, and don't short the IRS even a penny or it's work camp comrade.

For a while I was trolling conservative forums to harass Russian trolls, and generally challenge the dearth of critical thinking. Meadows started a personal attack on AOC, and it was immensely satisfying to point out to regulars discussing how Meadows stood up for 'American values,' that AOC was elected to represent a place with a very broad electorate and strong economy that's one of the most cultural influential places on the planet, whereas Meadows represents pine barrens surrounding, but not including!, Asheville.

Can you imagine if democrats just refused to testify if this were something like Tan Suite-gate? There would be public executions.
