I don't care how his movies are. Good Omens is a treasure.

Two things:
Good on him putting his money where his mouth is.
He's always either, the best thing on any project or the most interesting.

I'm not going to mock him if he's actually sincere here.

IMHO, he already earned the Hero tag for dating Kate Beckinsale and Rachel McAdams.  This is the Hero tag with distinction.

Good on him.

\His Aziraphale was quite different from how I imagined him, but incredibly well done.

Michael Sheen is one of those actors that once I take notice of him, I realize I've actually seen him in tons of movies and series.

I saw him on "Prodigal Son", and I thought "Hey, isn't that the guy from Good Omens ?

And then I noticed all the movies I've seen him. Passengers.Tron : Legacy. Kingdom Of Heaven. The Queen (he was Tony Blair).

And each times, his characters are so different. He's one of the most versatile actors there is. He can play manic, flamboyant, understated, creepy, normal, dark and light.

His Roy-Cohn-esque Good Wife character is my favorite part of that show.

/Good for you, Wesley Snipes

Enjoyed his roles in The Queen and Frost/Nixon. Guy can actually act.

And he banged Kate Beckinsale. He's immune to mockery.

He's the priest murdered by Legolas for being a complete asshole. Most of his work was cut out of the released film but the director's cut has more of him.

He was Legolas'a brother, the priest that cut his wife's head and buried her under a crossroad (and that Bloom's character killed before joining the crusades)

He deserved the hero tag for starring in "Masters of Sex", and doing a good enough job to keep it going long enough that in some countries, I think I'm considered married to Lizzy Caplan just for having watched it.

Actor and activist Michael Sheen has said organising the 2019 Homeless World Cup in Cardiff was a turning point for him.

That sounds like a very specialized bum fight.

I imagined the characters as being slightly less hammy. Crowley, especially.

I doubt that I will be able to read the book the same way again after watching the series, though. Sheen's performance as Aziraphale makes perfect sense based on the book's description of him.

/Crowley's wings should have been white.

loved Michael Sheen from day one, which for me was his Lodovico in Othello (1995).

I loved Sheen in Tron: Legacy. He knew exactly what movie he was in and just ran with it. Between his scenery chewing and Jeff Bridges's subtle notes of The Dude, those were the only two people who looked like they were actually having fun making that movie.

Daft Punk's rep came away better than any of the actors/writers/directors. I'm assuming they enjoyed themselves, but it's hard to tell w/ the helmets.

It's a damn good soundtrack. I'm not even a fan of Daft Punk, but I love that album. (There's an album by woob called Xvious_exe that sounds like a natural extension to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. I recommend it.)

A mix of nostalgia goggles and unrealistic expectations.

People shiat on it for not being the Tron sequel they'd imagined for themselves over the intervening decades.

Honestly it's largely in the visual - my mind's eye pictured Aziraphale as taller and more slender.

But also with more composure - Yes he gets neurotic and worried, but I imagined him with a better mask of composure  (of course this it likely adaptational - an actor can't just tell the audience what a character is thinking and feeling in the way an author can.

Sam's kid could've been a better actor. If not, then give Olivia Wilde more screen time/lines. CLU's big evil speech at the train station was kind of hammy. Everyone knew who Rinzler really was after the first disc fight, let the poor bastard take off his helmet at least once. Other than that, yeah, it was pretty damn good.

Sam was fine, imo. He was an angry kid who's Dad bailed and disappeared, and then got thrown the head screw that the digital stories were true.

And then met his Dad's evil ass AI clone. Kid had a bad day.

Would definitely have loved to see more Olivia Wilde. She is smoking beautiful and kicked ass :P
