Look, give them a break. It's like Christmas for these guys.

As in, it happens once a year, in December.

Give them shiat all you want, I am happy they won a game. No team deserves to lose that much.

I'm happy for them.  They deserve to celebrate.  Winning any game in the NFL is a battle.  These guys probably hate losing as much or more than anyone...they are probably sick of it.  They are professionals after all and have achieved much success on the football during their individual lives.  For the most part, their losing began after they put on the Detroit uniform.

They do when owned by the Ford family.

Yep.  It's a team sport, and we don't have a team.

I'm not going to hate on their celebration, but I will note that how far one has fallen also depends on how low they previously were.

Barry Sanders wishes he has known that so long ago.

Which makes the celebration even more important. It's literally the team on an island. That island is full of misfit toys, and somehow, they won. That's pretty cool.

I'm a Bears fan and I'm glad they won...actually I'm glad somebody won something after watching the Bears suck.

"Fallen" would imply that the Lions haven't already spent 6 decades being consistently among the worst teams in the league, subby. It ain't 1957 anymore

The Lions have had a lot of shiatty breaks to get to all those losses this season. A few decent breaks and they have a better record than the Vikes.

Lost to 49ers by 8
Lost to Ravens by 2
Lost to Vikings by 2
Lost to Rams by 9
Lost to Browns by 3
Lost to Bears by 2

Not a Lions fan, but the team plays with heart which is more than can be said of some other NFL teams. Shiat, I'm a Packer fan and if the Packers played with some of that level of intensity, they would only have the Saints loss on their record.

Came here to say this, they are literally known for being a shiatty team. The few teams they make the playoffs is a big shock. They make the Cardinals look like the Patriots.

I'd prefer they play with skill

/You're not wrong, it's been shiatty, and they tried, sometimes

Sheila Hamp has only owned the team for two years now.

Literally the best Lions coach since the 50s by almost any metric.

That isn't Wayne Fontes. Side note, Wayne Fontes is also the losingest coach in Lions history. He went 66-67.

Granted, I have the sad job of knowing that as my team since a kid. And they suck. But the one thing I like about that is the fans pop on that touchdown. The Detroit fans, god love ya, stayed and cheered. Mad props to them.

One of these days I'd like to see them good. So would Detroit. We've got the wings looking decent again.

I'm pretty sure a Ford has owned the team for most of or all of my life...
