Hey, if the levels detected in wastewater skyrocket without a similar spike in people seeking treatment that could indicate that the virus has mutated away its ability to cause serious illness. If a mild case of omicron imparts some level of immunity to other variants it could serve as nature's own vaccine, but it's waaay too soon to start blowing that particular horn.
