A friend got me one of those fluffy fleece blankets... with a hideous image of a derpy poorly drawn mountain lion posed majestically against a bluish forest background.  I just looked at it for thirty seconds saying "wow." and thinking that is the tackiest thing I've ever seen, and wondering if it was a joke gift or not.  I'm thinking she regifted it, to get it out of her house, either that or she just had no idea about my decorating tastes.  I do not use antlers in all of my decorating.  I was forced to strategically retreat and thank her for the nice gift, rather than laugh in her face like I wanted to.

One of my adult kids also laughed at it, but then promptly wrapped herself in it's fluffy goodness.  Then my dog who likes her more than me, claimed that blanket as her comfort zone, after she left.  It's still hideous, but the dog loves it.

Anyway, my new hobby is giving hideous gifts with a straight face and watching people struggle to be polite about accepting them.
