I'll pass on the hot Dr. Pepper, but when I get a cold, I find hot Vernors soothing. So long as I don't breathe in the fine bubbly mist that forms above it.

I'll sometimes warm up a hard cider on a winters day.  It's a perfectly adequate warm drink.

When I was growing up and the family would go to rural OK to visit the grandparents, Dr Pepper ice cream floats were all the rage at the local pharmacy malt shop.

I knew a woman that would mix Dr Pepper with merlot; of course, it had to be served warm, no thanks

I've heard of this, mostly as a Southern U.S. thing.

I can't stand Dr. Pepper to begin with. Hot? HARD ASS PASS.

I'm always amazed at how people can be so outraged over what other people like.

/I don't drink it that way myself. I only like my women hot and sweet

I've had it a couple of times as a kid back in the '60s. What I remember it was okay, I guess. Hot Vernors is better.

/ham cooked with Vernors is a thing in Michigan

Yep, one of the last restaurants I worked at we cooked our ham for brunch with a couple cans of ginger beer, it was quite tasty

I spray Dr. Pepper on my pork butts every hour when I'm smoking them. I think it tastes better than apple juice+worcestershire sauce.

Hot Dr. Pepper hasn't been popular outside of Texas since the 1970s. Should we bring it back?

So, the poors in Texas didn't have refrigerators and couldn't afford real sodas?
'Splains a lot...

tatsy
Slang term referring to a female who has tattooed her privates, or the actual tattoo itself.
Had a date with a tatsy last night, she showed me her pink taco tattoo.
Show me your tatsy you whore.

Can verify.

Marsellus Wallace Shaun: when I get a cold, I find hot Vernors soothing

I have never done this, but I could see people heating Vernors and drinking it.  As kids, we'd dare each other to open the cans and immediately inhale the CO2/ginger aerosolized death spray.  People often drank Vernors (cold) when they had minor respiratory ailments.  Dangit.  Now I want to get some of that the next time I hit the grocery store, because it's been a couple of years.
