Good morning all. Let's see which Manchester Utd turns up today: the free-flowing, easy-passing one that has put in a very few appearances this season; or the one where Pogba takes the day off and Fred is inexplicably selected again.

And Fred is in the starting XI? Along with the Foul Machine Harry Maguire? Oy vey. This has all the makings of a disaster for Untidy written all over it.

That explains that.

From names in a hat, possibly.

Given the squad he has though, it's hard to see what else to do. I don't know how you keep Greenwood, Lingard, and Van de Beek happy (especially when Pogba is healthy), but at the same time there is no back four (or three) on Utd's books that makes me feel in any secure. And I still don't understand why Fred keeps getting playing time. (McTominay is not the weak link in the McFred midfield combination).

I don't know why Ronaldo keeps taking free kicks.
I don't remember him scoring on one for quite a while.

Didn't Ragnarok say he couldn't really change much after just one training session?
Strikes me as taking a patient approach until he can really see what's what.

It's weird hearing the commentators refer to Zaha as a former Utd player. He basically had a cup of coffee there.

That's fair enough, but I don't see any good options for him in defense or defensive midfield with the current squad. If I started with a blank slate, I might keep Lindelof, and Shaw on a good day.

Up, Spurs? I know you guys are putting a lot of pressure on the blokes from Norwich when you get the ball in their half of the field, but could you do something about *maintaining* possession of the ball while away from their end of the pitch? Thank you.

Utd have looked good and - unusually - have actually been in the 18 yard box. But they really need a goal to force Palace to come out of their shell.

Agreed. Getting a goal would force Palace to stop turtling up and start attacking to try to level things up.
