Really?

This is how it went?

Has a more meaningless character in a movie franchise *ever* taken off (no pun intended) like this? Sure it took awhile, but damn.

All I remember are the parts about killing the wannabe Fett, for his armor, and going after Han Solo for old time's sake.

In a trilogy of books on Han's early years, Boba Fett's first encounter with Han was when he was hired to capture Han on Nar Shadda, and he used a drugged dart that made him obey any verbal command, so he nearly got away with his prize.. but Han was saved by Lando Calrissian.. whom had never met him before, but Han was recommended as someone who could teach him to pilot this new Corellian freighter he'd just won in a sabbac game.

The one good decision Disney made was dumping almost all of the EU.

They're keeping a few things like Admiral Thrawn (although I prefer my Imperials to be white humans, preferably with British accents). And the Jedi played by Rosario Dawson, who can play anything she wants.

Mostly crap.  There were a few books that were decent.  Plus, Shadows of the Empire was an awesome game that was considered canon for the old EU.

That bothers me about newer Star Wars. Don't diversify the Empire or its offshoots. The rebels or New Republic or whatever, certainly. But the Empire being a speciesist, racist, misogynistic organization was on target.

I mean, no, but okay.

Of course there's a lot of shiat. If you think that's bad, see the nightmare that is Star Trek.

Yeah, that was an awesome game. That and GoldenEye made the Nintendo 64. TIE Fighter for the PC was great as well.

I can't judge all of the EU, I obviously didn't read all of it. But what I read makes The Phantom Menace look like The Empire Strikes Back.

Y'all biatch that the EU was mostly crap but that's a better situation than replacing it with wholly-crap primary canon.

Yeah, the Trek books could be pretty damn bad. Although there were a few good ones, too. I remember enjoying a few Captain's Log (or something similar) books that focused on each captain, a Kahless book, and a pretty decent Picard/Q series.

So how do you pronounce "Luuke"? Stay on the "U" extra long? And midichloreans are stupid but Force eating worms make total sense?

No, they had clones with extra scars in their face for some reason.

I'm hoping the first dialogue about how he survived will be "Easy! Once out of the sarlac, I simply..."

I enjoyed most of the EU, even the not very good books, all the way up to the New Jedi Order series. The NJO kinda killed my interest in Star Wars books at that point.

Well furry snakes I guess: but yes it makes sense from the point of topping Luke just storming the bridge and killing the grand admiral...cos jedi

And it did loop back to the whole idea of making clones grow faster, if less stable.

The bar at which sabbac game took place was managed by aunt of Jek Tono Porkins, bartender was cousin of Mon Mothma's childhood friend
