That's infinitely more pleasing to the eyes than anything about Charles Koch.

Looking at the bright side: if the Kochs are buying solar energy companies maybe they'll use some of their influence to not try and destroy the planet?

Headlines are Koch-heavy tonight.

And yet it's still not legal to hunt Republicans with clubs and knives for sport.

If and only if it's profitable enough to make up for the loss of personal entertainment brought about by the destruction they're losing out on.

By how many kilos, would you estimate?

They use your civilized behavior against you.  You'll figure it out if they ever win big enough to be fully in control.  I strongly suspect a highly principled and angry 'lefty' is going to be a more effective hunter than a stupid bully who needs their herd for emotional support before they can work up the will to do anything that might give them an owie.

Hence the very previous link on the politics tab - a distraction from this.

Maybe he's in a coma and his long-term health givers just defer to his political handlers.

What is Koch Industries, exactly?

2021-12-04 12:26:19 AM
We're long past the time where politicians are held accountable for things.

I don't like it, but aside from the occasional "where taking you off of committees," fark all happens.

Makes you wonder how the left will respond, now that the right has normalized and supports terrorism.

As an Arizona resident, Jim Lamon is a fascist piece of shiat.  And that's being unfair to fascists. F*ck this as$clown

When is the other Koch gonna drop?

2021-12-04 1:18:46 AM
He's been buying politicians for decades, and is a huge part of the reason the Republican party went as far off the deep end as they did. All that's changed is that now that things have gone far enough for total impunity, he has no reason to even try to be subtle about it anymore.

It all started with the crackpot, ultra-racist John Birch Society that was terrified about Commies hiding under their beds. Their dad was a founder. It's a truly horrific organization - look it up if you're unfamiliar.

Dear old dad eventually left JBS...but not because it was awful and he became enlightened. And that part doesn't really matter.

His sons adopted Daddy's politics, but had the good sense to all their shady shiat behind the scenes, protected by their corporations.

An irredeemably reprehensible family. Right up there with the Sacklers & Trumps in terms of pure selfish malice.

One of them tried to run for president as a Libertarian, in 1980.  He got hardly any votes.

So they went with 'think tanks' instead, since openly stating their goals was unpopular.

They live on the nice parts of the planet. If they could live on top of mount McKinley, and flood the rest of the U.S. under 20,000 feet of sewage, batteries and toxic sludge, they would.

Spending money only goes so far. To a point, you need to bring in money to win a statewide election, but I can point to numerous times that the higher-spending candidate lost. At a certain point more commercials aren't going to get you more votes, and more staff will just be hassling the same potential voters and pissing them off.

2021-12-04 12:20:30 PM
Most likely this money will mostly be used to buy his way through the Arizona GOP to become the nominee. Refill the coffers for another round of litigation. That's what the party needs.
