Surprised no awards went to Buildabear Cabbagepatch's Closetcase Hoedown.

Critics have been falling over themselves praising that 2-hour sleeping pill. Of course, a lot of "Power of the Dog's" good reviews have been merely lip service so the reviewer can launch into a screed about "toxic masculinity."

It is funny, though, seeing critics suddenly proclaiming Jane Campion one of the most important directors of all time, though most couldn't name 3 previous movies she made without going to Google.

I couldn't get through the trailer when it popped up on YouTube. I seriously thought it was a MAD mag version of Mystic Pizza.

But that AV Club article someone shared a couple of days ago ranked it #7 of PT Anderson's films!

Generally this is the kind of movie that I have no interest in. But I'll give anything made by Paul Thomas Anderson a shot.

Well, there's good arguments that There Will Be Blood and Boogie Nights were both deserving of Best Picture during their respective years.

While The Master and Inherent Vice had issues, I don't think Anderson has made a bad movie yet.

I didn't realize that Jennifer Aniston had any relatives in Hollywood.

Except for Inherent Vice which has so many issues that it sucked. I am a huge Anderson and Pynchon fan, but jeez,,,

I enjoyed it overall, but I would have preferred a different actor for Doc.

Her dad is Viktor on Days Of Our Lives. And Mattew Perry's dad was the OG Old Spice sailor.

Love Anderson's movies but really had a visceral hate reaction to There Will Be Blood. Can't wait to see this new one though.

Ah yes, the ol' "I didn't like it, so surely it's the critics who are wrong" argument. Tale as old as time.

It's on Netflix, see for yourself.

Think the first half of "Giant" mashed up with Ledger's post-summer storyline in "Brokeback Mountain," only told extremely clumsy.

Cumberbatch's most egregious offenses as the so-called monster of toxic masculinity include making a couple of fat jokes towards his brother (because siblings never make jokes about each other) and embarrassing his brother's wife at a dinner party. Almost expected the Flight of the Conchords song "I've got Hurt Feelings" to start piping in.

I have no idea, but I first heard it in SE MO in the late 1980s. I've also heard it in northern IL so it's not just a hillbilly term. I haven't heard it outside of the midwest.

I do know that it doesn't make a difference if the norton is caused by arousal or cold, the same word is used.
