Almost exactly a year after Squiggy died.  RIP funny singin' man.

He almost made it a variety show. That's part of the success.

It was a good one.  It also made me do a double take I saw the Happy Days guy was on there.

Also when the Cosby Show actor was in another episode.

I'm always amazed at how many projects Lenny has gone on to, since L&S went off the air.  He's always showing up in stuff, and rarely playing anything like Lenny

Yes. Credited on IMDB as Fake Tiger Woods/Middle Aged Guy.

I never understood why the character was named after Bolognese sauce (assuming he wasn't named after the crappy cheap brand of the same name). Was that a Gary Marshall way of saying he was beefy?  Beefcakey?  What?

I honestly had forgotten Penny was dead.

I also never knew until a minute ago that they put the Laverne L on her Tombstone.

The character's last name was "Ragusa", so it makes sense that they played up the beefcake angle.

So he was actually named after a place in Sicily?

Weird.

What's weirder is that an Armenian played an Italian dude.

Per wiki, he was half Italian, half Armenian

Mekka was born Rudolph Edward Mekjian in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Italian mother Mariam and Armenian father Vaughn Mekjian.[1] His mother was a presser and his father was a World War II veteran.[2] He graduated from Burncoat High School.[3]

In the Godfather, Vito Corleone was born in Vito Andolini in Corleone, Sicily.  He was named Corleone by the immigration agent at Ellis Island.  I just figured that was a thing that happened back then.
