Well, where else WOULD you go to buy children, except at a school? You wouldn't find many at an old folks' home.

It's not so much a movie as a Blues festival with some corny punchlines thrown in.

I love that movie.  They did well with the casting.

Yeah, they didn't like it when I hung around the school asking "you got my cheese whiz, boy?!?" either.

I wonder if Paul Reubens is allowed within 500 ft of a school

PCSO Kenneth Blake said a man, of "possible Middle Eastern origin" and in his late 30s or early 40s, made the offer.

Gee thanks captain Obvious...England ya know.

Also a nice peek at end-of-the-70s Chicago, however much they played fast and loose with geography. I remember stepping off the train at LaSalle St. Station for the first time in 1989, and the view of Van Buren St. eastward under the L looked exactly like it did in the movie. Even the SRO, blown up in the movie by way of special effects, was still around. Within a decade, the view wasn't even vaguely the same.

The mall remained standing, crumbling away, until it was finally razed in 2012. That's a twisted, farked-up saga in itself, and there's still nothing built on that property over a decade later.
