Barely a tuppence over a farthing I'd reckon.

It sure seems like this article leaves out the vast majorityof the payroll base

How wonderful it is to know they pay competitive rates for skilled positions in high demand.  Is this a commercial for WM as an employment choice?  What would be more revealing is what percentage of non-management staff make more than, say, $14/hr.  Scientific notation might be appropriate...

And the lazy sit at home stock owners clean all employee clocks.

The same employees who put value into the stock in the first place.

And all that time i believed capitalists hate socialism.....

Systems engineer stuff can be bloody complex. Not surprising that they pay well for jobs they need with small labor pools.

TFA also doesn't mention irregular hours and limits of less than 20 hours per week so tens of thousands of employees are eligible for state welfare like SNAP, housing, and medical care.
But don't you dare call it socialism or uncompetitive.

The real lesson is that WM basically did fark all about employee compensation for decades, then they experienced a blip in available labor and lo' they suddenly have the money to pay people.

This was always going to be the only way to make these borderline monopolies behave.

I see no problem with pharmacists and software engineers making $150-$200K. It's the cashier making $12 an hour who has to fight for over 30 hours a week and is struggling to make ends meet that I'm worried about. Not to mention the tax payers that subsidize Walmart through government assistance which keeps their employees from getting any more stabby than they already are.

I read this four times, and I don't understand your point.

You're saying capitalists likes Socialism, but your only points you made is that rich stock owners earn more than unskilled labour?

I think he's trying to make a point about how seriously Walmart takes the cleanliness of their timekeeping devices.

It is also slang for beating someone up. I think if Soros could beat anyone up, it would be a Walmart greeter his own age.

Those Wal-Mart employees just piss me off when they park their Mercedes at the front of the store, instead of on the side like they're supposed to.

I have no issues with the Walmart company but they should be CELBRATED for hiring the unhireable, every time I go inside that store the employees do something to make my skin crawl. what a pack of ghouls.

Im saying companies like wally mart can focus on the one thing that matters to them by underpaying their 'help' and by utilizing cheap labor in communist china.

Only stock owners and their free precious matters now.  The labor that puts the value into wally mart can fuk off.

Walmart: we exploit cheap communist chinese labor so you dont have to!!

Within the article, there's a link to another article about how some companies now exclude remote workers from Colorado because the state insists on salary disclosure in job postings.

Companies do not want people to know the salary range for jobs they post. They will do everything they can to get you to sell your labor for the least amount of money. It's really disgusting.

Well-paid managers cause a high average pay, while 99% of the workforce struggles to pay rent. This is literally a mirror of everything wrong with the US economy.
