I am interested in the Occulus from a professional point of view, but I cannot get past the fact that it is a Facebook product.

I still believe that VR / AR headset will never take off beyond a very niche appeal.

Despite all the money and marketing that promotes something new every five years, the fact remains that few people want to wear stupid shiat on their faces.

Can't wait for the collective "meh" from society about The Metaverse ®. The sooner it goes the way of 3D and/or curved TVs, the better.

Lots of great VR products out there that aren't smothered in Facebook stink.  I still have the original Vive set, and it is still pretty great.  I've heard the new Valve Index is really nice as well.

I have the original oculus and I guess I'll stay with it for awhile because if I were to get the second one I would need a Facebook account. Fark that.
