Yet another reason to not do In-N-Out burgers. I mean, it's not like it's going to affect me either way, because I'm not in their demographic, and I don't like their stuff, so if that's the hill they want to die on...their choice, but y'all can't complain that you can't find workers when you encourage plague dogs and drive away other applicants who don't want to die on assisted breathing. And customers who don't want to die like a sh*tty televangelist. The sh*tty fries keep me from the place, and they think doubling down to get the plague dog demo is a winning strategy?

They're banking on a demographic that can ONLY shrink as time goes on. Is their CEO hoping to get bought out? Is the Board actively hoping that someone will White Knight them by driving up their stock price? This is a weird strategy. Then again, this IS a Cali based franchise, so weird is kind of their thing, I guess. LA is chock full of bone stopped when it comes to politics and money.

While I can't begin to imagine how difficult it would be for the average In-N-Out employee to put up with the nuisances of society in that role, it seems that if they really want to advertise how important scripture is, they should re-read Romans 13 and then decide if they want to go drive-thru only or figure out a way to uphold the law.  The average In-N-Out lobby/dining area is a madhouse when I visit them so I would go the drive-thru only route just for the sake of practicality and employee safety.

Meh don't even know where my card is. Got both done at krogers. Got a fever for a night and an almost dead arm for 24 hours which surprised the hell out of me cause I didn't feel the shot. Then a little while later Drove across the country.

It's somewhere? Not like the Midwest was particular about checking for the damn thing. It was done. But damned if I know where that card is. Call farking krogers and ascertain I did it?

I'm triple vaxxed and totally buy into mandates. But making private business enforce it is bullshiate.

It makes high school kids and undereducated minorities, who make up the front lines of the service industry, take the brunt of the abuse.

I don't care. Easily the best burger in town for the price.

What's preventing them from getting vaccinated? Especially in CA? Honest question.

Unfortunately quite a lot of people do. I hope that $5,000 fine mentioned in the article is per day. I also hope that the city is prepared to take further action if that fine isn't paid. I'm tired of seeing articles about plague rat business owners ignoring fines with no consequence.

And by further action, I mean jail time for the CEO. I don't know exactly how we reached the point where people high enough in a corporate hierarchy become personally immune to the law, but that needs to change right away.

The point is that the minimum wage employees get to confront all the angry Karens that won't show vaxx proof or wear a mask, and of course the Karens aren't even the worst of the bunch. Are we keeping score of how many retail workers have been assaulted by anti-vax nutcases?

Yeah, but not a reasonable comparison.  Five Guys is definitely better, but you're in a completely different price category.  In-N-Out's peers are McDonalds and Burger King.  Fast food conveyor belt dreck.  The burgers do fairly well against those, but the fries are inexcusable.

Yeah, I went in a different direction and didn't think about it properly. Front-line workers definitely get an unfair amount of abuse, especially given that American society is built around dumping on service workers as an underclass.
