So?

3-6

Though if anyone in the GOP had any political sense left, they would be telling their Supreme Lackeys that completely repealing Roe will hurt the party with moderates (if any still exist).

It won't matter. This moment is the primary reason any of the conservative justices were appointed.

Secondary is getting all gun laws invalidated.

No one is changing anyone else's mind ... because that would take an open mind of which there are very few on this Court.

The strategy was to convince Roberts which might work to but still 4-5.

Lol, come on.

No more eggs from the golden goose. This is really gonna leave a mark.

I'd hoped one of the three would have asked:

"So if the state has the right to enforce a birth on a woman against her free will, shouldn't that state be REQUIRED to pay every cent to house, feed, clothe, and provide health care until their eighteenth birthday?.

IF NOT, WHY NOT??

Otherwise, she is nothing more than a slave to the state and it's imposition of their chosen religion upon her "

On the other hand, even more motivation to ensure the end of free and fair elections.

One thing they will be imposing: the permanent removal of voting rights for the most trivial of reasons. Upheld, 6-3.

You make the mistake that women as a gender are damsels in distress regarding abortion rights, when about half of women are actively looking to enact anti-abortion legislation. Abortion politics isn't really a women vs. men thing,* it's right wing vs. liberal, and right wingers are much more rabidly anti-choice than liberals are pro-choice.

*Most polls show the gender breakdown of pro-choice/anti-choice between men and women differing by 2-3% overall.

This. I've known may conservative women who are anti-choice because their god says babies are a blessing or no premarital sex or birth control is evil, etc. it has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with ideology they were raised with and too stupid to overcome.

Barrett is brainwashed, Kavaugh was bought by paying off his massive multi-six figure gambling debts.  Gorsuch has a hard on for human suffering and Thomas is looking for JFK Jr., leering at police, and stalking Mike Pence with a noose.
The court is a clown car of perverts and liars.  Go ahead, overturn Roe at your peril.

Im sure the quirky democrat and Manchin who can't even vote for some domestic spending would gladly get rid of the filibuster  to expand the court.  Biden isn't a dictator who can magically make anything happen.

Biden isn't the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party consists of hundreds of state- and federal-level officials, huge reserves of cash, tons of rich donors, and gargantuan piles of intelligence. And somehow they can't use all of that to get two* assholes to behave?

Biden isn't a dictator, but Sinema and Manchin also aren't untouchable gods and we need to stop pretending they are.

Not voting for Democrats allowed the Republicans to stack the Supreme Court.

Happy?

That's nice, but the only thing that really matters is power, and the will to use it. She has the will, but not the power. She's just one vote, and her colleagues don't have enough votes to deny the theocrats the GOP stole seats for on the SCOTUS.

Sucks, but that's the reality. And the Democrats by and large (progressive D's excluded) still just don't understand how much the game has changed since they were young.

The question isn't whether Roe and Casey will be upheld. It's what new line in the sand the majority will draw around abortion. Either it will:

1) Be illegal after ~14 weeks of pregnancy for governments to ban abortion (if they decide viability is arbitrary but women should still have a window to get an abortion)
2) Be completely legal for governments to ban all abortions (if they decide the Constitution doesn't prevent such a ban from taking effect)
3) Be completely illegal to procure or provide an abortion no matter how far along the pregnancy is (if they decide fetuses are people with an inalienable right to life)

If John Roberts had his way, he'd probably go with #1. He won't be in the majority though, so #2 and #3 are the ripe options. I would bet on #2 being their chosen path; picking #3 would mean the rich and powerful would have to fly their daughters overseas to get abortions when they get pregnant, and they'd much rather fly to another state than fly overseas.

Biologically child-free raising someone else's crotch fruit. The former not by choice. The latter by choice.

For you and I: To each their own choices. No judgment. No regrets.

I also steadfastly think abortion should be legal. I believe in full body autonomy, which also includes what chemicals one decides for themselves what to put or not put in their body.
