Bucksport police are investigating the fake money and as of Tuesday night it was not clear where the money was coming from.

A movie?

Have any movies been filmed in Maine lately?

That's a death penalty offense in Minnesota.

Think of how many movies you see people use money in. Then add in the movies where they have huge piles of it. I'm betting there are millions of dollars in stuff that has been misplaced, stolen, or kept as souvenirs.

It's been done before. They even made a movie about the guy.

Don't accept money that says "Porno Movie Use" unless your wife's girl friends can't tell the difference.

I bet you could find quite a sum hidden under a rock in a field in Buxton

WhoTF counterfeits one dollar bills?  Seems like it would cost more than a dollar to make a decent one.  Did they bleach five dollar bills and reprint them?

Fives or tens might be a sweet spot if one was inclined.
I would suspect movies would be more interested in $20s and $100s.

Imagine if you looked down in your wallet and saw nothing but movie money.

No. Look at the link above. They print motion picture singles.

I just bought a whole pack (20 of each denomination including $2 bills for use at Taco Bell) for nine bucks on Amazon, to switch into a dementia patient's stash so that she stops mislaying the real money when she soothes herself by counting it. It's pretty good at a glance. Of course, actually looking at it means you'll see what's wrong.

If your production can't afford to sling around a handful of real one dollar bills, I assume someone's going to get shot with a real bullet during filming.

My person loves silly cryptic/Randonautica vids. He shows me this one bullshiat found a bunch of money after asking Randonautica for cash nonsense. From accross the room with my shiate eyesight, I say, this is a bullshiat set up, that money is fake. He's like "no it's not, you can't tell" etc etc. After the vid dude eventually shows the money is fake and I explain in detail every tell that gave away that the vid was bullshiat and the money was fake. I feel like this story is applicable because HOW THE fark DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT shiat IS FAKE!
