Why do that, when you can profit of other people's misery first? Looks like he learned a lot from Snyder while he was there....

So he waits 9 years to expose all this, a year or more after the story first hit the news? After the last cinders of Washington Football Bridge have smoldered out behind him?

More corroboration of the harassment claims is of course appreciated, but

Washington is a genius football operation.

Step 1:  Bet your entire team's future on RGIII
Step 2:  Let Shanny break RGIII

2021-12-01 9:52:37 AM
Is there anything RGIII could "expose" that would surprise us about the WFT or Snyder? Seriously, what negative rumor could you start about them that would make you think anything other than "yeah, I can believe that"?

No, seriously, whatever you do, you don't want to take a blacklight in there.

"Snyder is competent" isn't negative, but even that headline would leave me wondering what shoe would drop after that - like "Snyder is Competent to Stand Trial".

Even seeing a headline like "Snyder Adopts Shelter Dog" would make my brain finish the headline with "and teaches it to kill homeless people."

To be fair, I think that about most NFL owners. Don't want people think I'm playing favorites.

I mean, Baylor athletics has had a lot more than that go in in the last two decades. Cultures don't change, the bad guys just get more bold. I'd bet if someone twisted his arm he'd have stories.

The fact that they even have a basketball program is a disgrace.

My pet theory is that Snyder released the Jon Gruden e-mails to 1) get his name out of the news and 2) shoot a shot over the bow of Goodells investigation basically saying, "That's a nice football league you have there, it would be a shame if something happened to it"

A) Snyder had access to the e-mails
B) Had the motivation to release them (see above)
C) It is the kind of dick move that Snyder would do

Anyone here have a reason to disagree?

Is this the "wait until nothing can legally be done about it and then write an exposė to profit off of it" tactic?

Why yes, yes it is.

Cultural enlightenment? Really? Aren't you just talking sh*t now, browneye?
That's about the checkiest-out I've ever seen a checking-out username checking out.

The fact that I agree with your statement falls completely off the radar in comparison with the thunderclapping immensity of the ironical juxtaposition of pot and kettle, you know, comment-wise. Well done.

<SIGH>

For the zillonth time, I call myself browneye because I have brown eyes. That's was and is the only reason.

I've been on Fark for 15 years and when arrived here and created the username, I was completely unaware of the double entendre for browneye. Granted I would have avoided the issue altogether if I had just added the letter 's' to browneye to make it browneyes. But again, my mind just didn't go to 'shiat-around-an-assh*le' place.

I have long since contacted the admins and was told that I couldn't change it. So.....C est la vie.

Also, I'm a woman, which contradicts another assumption many make about my browneye username.

Well no...except for the fact that a HC from another organization got shiatcanned for those emails and now, said shiatcanned coach is suing the NFL to have all those emails out in public.

To be fair, I don't think Snyder thought it would get this far, but then again Snyder has been someone that thinks of the here and now instead of whatever happens down the line he can handwave.

Not going to troll any specific Farkers, but personally, I thought

* the Marine 'Core' Farker who misspelled Corps and then went down the 'my wife typed it' path and

* the Farker claiming the Taco Bell 2-dollar bill story happened to them

were even better fark-ups.

I recall a thread where a Farker made a comment that caused a few folks to check his profile, and he had set his pic to something that made the comment hilarious.  It was a pretty good gag at the time, but I'm not sure much it got noticed.

I kid you not, I got a $2 bill as part of my change from a Taco Bell once not long after that story started running around the internet.  I'm not sure why that particular Taco Bell cashier knew I'd get a kick out of it, but I looked at her, then the bill and gave a knowing smile which was met with a similar knowing smile.

- Seattle Seahawks having won 3 Super Bowls, but only one that was "universally agreed upon".

- A certain Farker (who is universally wrong and always a dick) stating, "It's kinda similar to life in a way, where if you're right about things but are a dick, then people aren't going to take your side."

My belief is that it came from the league FO with Snyder's blessing.  Gruden's brother was Shannahan's successor in farking up RG3, and blood feuds (NFL vs. the Davis family) just don't die.

I'm sure going up against a politically connected billionaire in the most politically connected city in the country wouldn't have backfired on RGIII and had him saddled with a "troublemaker" rep that would eventually get him drummed out of the league.

It's not like every time a black athlete tries to speak out against something, they're met with a loud and angry contingent of people quick to respond that they should be grateful to be there and just "shut up and play the game."No, that never happens. Ever./Never happened.//Not once///Nosireebob.
