Please do not let this be the start of another bad Steve Guttenberg movie.

It's great that they survived. Now they look around and say, Where have all the flowers gone?

I prefer ghost bees.
You might know them as boo bees.

Reminds me of a home brew DND/Pathfinder1e monster I came up with. They were basically a swarm of bees with a pyro augment, so when they stung you (once per round that you are in the swarm), you lost 1 CON due to your blood boiling, and took 1d6 fire per round for each round you are in the swarm and 1d4 rounds thereafter. Plus they superheat the air around them so everything has 20% concealment within the swarm.

But have a single bee do a flyover of a crop farm in the US and they drop dead.

that is a very cool story.  i suppose they will cart the clever girls away to someplace flowery.  i love that the beekeepers knew there could bee survivors- i didn't.  might as well admit, i thought for a moment we were talking about wild bees in hives hanging from trees, that survived mostly by some fluke of air currents or protective rock out-cropping.  it makes me wonder how they knew to do what they did, ssealing themselves in.

Release the lava, or the bees, or the lava with the bees in its mouth that shoots bees at you when it flows!

I don't even like bees and I think that's cool.

I think that I shall never see
A thing as cool as lava bee

A bee with burning stinger pressed
Against the earth's sweet molten breast

A bee that sprays it's lava streams,
whose beating wings will silence screams

A bee that oft in summer singes,
mains and kills in burning binges

Upon whose bosom lava lays,
maliciously it sears and slays

Bees can awe a fool like me,
Especially the lava bee.
