Marksrevenge: I legitimately would love to know how many anti-vax people are secretly motivated by fear of needles/injections. Common phobia. Many will never admit it in a survey though, so we're not apt to find out soon.

I know one person with a needle phobia. He's also not a farking moron, so the day he found out the vaccine was available to all adults is the day he went to a clinic to get it. He said it actually did hurt because he flinched when they stuck him. He was back exactly 3 weeks later to get the second dose. He had to weigh a few minutes of triggering a phobia against the risk of killing parents or grandparents with a plague he might not even know he had. There was exactly one decision that made sense, so he accepted that and dealt with it.

Phobias suck. Accidentally killing innocent people sucks a hell of a lot more.

Here's the thing Trumpers, pay attention.  Anyone could be walking around with a portable nebulizer, spraying vaccine particles into the air you breathe, particularly in crowds and in smaller rooms with a lot of people.

The only way to survive this horror is to wear a mask, up properly over your nose.  It's the only way to be sure the liberals don't get you!

I'm a lot like your friend, minus spasming when I get a shot. Hate it but I put up with it because it's smarter than being too chicken. Just saying that there are a lot of people who hate needles and not all of them manage to screw their courage to the sticking place, as it was phrased in Macbeth.

I got over my trypanophobia* by making myself participate in a company blood drive. Once I dealt with that, all those tiny-needle shots didn't bother me in the least.

/now I give O- double reds every four months
//not saying it would work for everyone
///*yes, I had to look it up
