Never saw and never heard of a post-series handsake line at the end of a Stanley Cup series turn into a donnybrook.

Logically pro football players should be treating each other with respect and trying not to invite serious injury to themselves or anyone on their team. After all it's a job and if you get hurt bad that might be the end of your career.

/ but then humans aren't known for doing the logical thing, Aggro out beast man, but also watch your back, some players are called enforcers for a reason.

Yes, but I've never heard of hockey players having a post-game handshake at the end of a regular season game, which NFL players do every game.

NFL players don't wait for the post-season to develop manners.

So a player did something screwed up which they either didn't catch at the time or couldn't do anything about.   What are you gonna do give him a post game 15 yard penalty?  So they checked the tape, saw the screwed up behavior and punished him moving forward.

This is what Pro Soccer should be doing FFFS.   Even if you don't catch the blatant dive right away, you go back over the tape, check it, and if it's a dive, you suspend the player.   Suspend 1 game and then double it every time the same player does it, 1 game, then 2 then 4 ect.

Nah. Let them fight, like in Hockey. The issue will solve itself. Same for the NFL. And MLB, and the NBA.

Want to fight? Go for it. When it's over, you are gone. 'Revenge' fight? Same results. You'll figure it out after a while.

The problem with "let them fight" is that teams will start to load up on goons whose only job is to go hurt the star athlete of the other team. Think 70s/80s hockey.  The issue won't resolve itself. All that will happen is that a bunch of practice squad players, or worse, who can never make the active roster otherwise, will be called up to make a hit.

I've barely seen anything in hockey because it's a silly game played on a fake frozen pond with dudes prancing around in ice skates. It's ridiculous.

If you're using your bare hand to punch someone who's wearing a helmet, getting suspended should be the least of your concerns. What a dipshiat.

But I'm sure it's OK for TJ Watt to goon it up against an opposing quarterback.

Jerruh's checks to the refs must be bouncing.  No way any Cowboys player would be suspended if they weren't.

Yeah, a real goon there. I think he wrinkled the poor QBs jersey. Man, what a neanderthal.

Burrow said he held no ill-will towards Watt for what he did and it was a bit rough against a QB not even close to the play, but they are told to block the closest player during a TO. However, one of his linemen should have knocked Watt the fark out.
