Guys, guys, guys. Just consider the IOC's long-established history of ethics and honesty and you'll understand that there's absolutely no reason to doubt that Mr. Pound is being entirely forthright. He would never misrepresent the truth even if there were billions of dollars on the line. It is simply not in his nature.

The Olympics are being held in China and IOC has huge $$$ on the line...

My guess is that she was hooked up to a car battery from waist down and moved around by engineers off camera.

His name comes up every time the Olympics are near, and it's always funny.

One of the things Don Cherry did right was have Dick Pound on Coach's Corner on Hockey Night In Canada many years back so he could grill him about doping in the NHL.

Dick Pound publicly made a claim that he estimated 50% of all players in the NHL were doping.

Now, I am not so naive to think that no player is the NHL is using banned substances, but it is extraordinarily irresponsible and stupid to make a completely unsubstantiated allegation like that when you're the head of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

So, Dick Pound is probably a total asshole.

I too think athletic sanctioning bodies should do the police and social justice work of the world. Things are just better when we place our expectations on these fine shoulders

Dick pound made a lot of bold claims that got him in hot water. He generally turned out to be right. In particular his high profile feud with Lance Armstrong.

And I would bet that his claim of one third of NHL players taking PEDs in the early 2000s was not very high.

As a tax accountant, he has a significant influence in my professional sphere as well.

But he has been covering for China and their brutal regime for some time.
