This ruling is going to get litigated to death.

They won't have that authority once SCOTUS gets through with them...

Is it a regular thing to have a ballot box on the premises of the place that is voting whether to unionize? I assumed that even if it was only one location, they would still do mail-in balloting so that people could do so anonymously and not while being watched to even see if they voted.

My union doesn't even permit absentee voting for our elections, because shenanigans.  Has to be in-person.

If it's blatantly illegal, who's pressing charges?

Also, if you've ever thought, "Why the hell would people vote against being in a union?" or "Well, they voted not to unionize, so we shouldn't question it," then you absolutely need to watch this and witness the absolutely heinous sh*t that corporations get to do to "dissuade" (read: coerce and threaten) you from voting to unionize.

Whether it's actually legal doesn't matter, if they will get away with it either way.

I believe it was John Oliver on LWT that showed there are no penalties for egregious behavior and data shows that the vast majority of second votes fail.

This was Amazon working the system as it is set up. There needs to be huge penalties.

Yes.

I'm pretty sure that businesses actually push for mail-in voting because unions have a higher win rate when the vote is in-person.

And that decision can be appealed.

Interesting. We do it with anonymous ballots handed out and signed for, and they include a blank secrecy envelope and then a postage-paid pre-addressed envelope going to a PO Box.

The ruling specifically affirmed the RWDSU's objections to an on-site mailbox installed by Amazon

Amazon requested the Postal Service install a US postal mailbox right beside the employee entrance. That's the most illegal thing I have ever heard of. Now Amazon is threatening to take the mailbox down, which would also be illegal, and grounds for another vote.
