Tanqueray: Twitter's looking for a buyer.

It'll end up at Facebook or Microsoft.

The rw is going to be clamoring to shoehorn a Trumper into leadership. Imagine Koch, Mercer, Murdoch as buyers.

It's going to be Zuckerberg, because of course it will.

And, yeah, he'll unban Trump.

It'll be bought by a Russian shell, to become part of OAN.

I can never really understand why the techbro CEO's stick around so long. If I developed a platform that made me a billionaire as it did its best to rot the world I'd take my sack of cash and burn it to the ground on the way out.

Oh, right. Hubris.

Well if it's one of them then I definitely will continue to not use Twitter.

Nah. That would be dumping a bunch of chum in front of the anti-trust sharks. Same with Bezo and Amazon.

Murdock is a possibility.

But one of the traditional media companies (Comcast, Disney) would be more likely.

Musk needs to do whatever it takes to buy twitter. Then he can hire someone to build a device to harness the rage from literally everyone on the internet into energy and we can finally begin to fix the planet.

It's a publicly traded company so unless that changes, it mostly doesn't matter who the CEO is. The Russians that bankrolled it back in the day are long gone.

Because very few can repeat the trick and once you're a billionaire without any respectability you find life boring as hell. It's like playing a videogame with cheat mode on, you can buy anything and do anything ... except the respect of other people. Ask Notch, he outbid some A-list celebrities to get a monstrous mansion in Beverly Hills and then found that just spending money on stuff isn't as fun as it seems.

It says he's stepping down, not that he's selling the company.

He's heavy in bitcoin. He will be doing something with it thru Square or another company. He released a white paper 2 weeks ago about a decentralized bitcoin exchange. Buckle up Dorsey haters, he will be pissing you off even more in a short period of time.

I'm sure he'll enjoy the ride all the way back to $0.

Yeah, the ones that aren't completely insane got out at a few hundred million.  Don't get me wrong, a good CEO is pretty insane to begin with  Sane people want time more than money and most of them were pretty well off to begin with.

What do you even do with your second billion dollars?

It's almost like you have to be a bad person to be obscenely wealthy.

Apathy, you have to be apathetic to get obscenely wealthy, you get obscenely wealthy by getting other people to work for you.  The mean people routinely get their asses handed to them by the calm people that just don't give a fark about hostility.

Zuck also wouldn't unban Trump because it flies in the face of even his weak, superficial attempts to look like he cares about keeping the psychopaths off his social media sites.

Apathy is the wrong word.

Competitive is a better one. Years ago, Arthur Blank (who was a major running addict in his younger years) had a t-shirt he would wear to the Home Depot offices that said: "There Is No Finish Line."  He and Bernie Marcus didn't care so much about the money, but more about winning the game.
