I'm getting 80s future car vibes from the sports car.

I drive a Nissan truck (it's 50 years old, so it says DATSUN on the tailgate), that I'd LOVE to make into an EV.  I just wish I knew how to do it.

How do you have a Datsun truck that hasn't rusted into metal flakes by now?  Is this a Ship of Theseus Datsun?

It's a shame Nissan screwed the pooch with their "strategic alliances".

I'd love to see them be able to license Tesla technology into their products.

FTA: Ambition 2030 also includes targets for Nissan's future sales mix. In the next five years (by 2026), Nissan wants to sell 75% "electrified" vehicles in Europe, 55% in Japan, and 40% in China. It also wants to reach 40% "electrified" vehicles in the US by 2030, and a 50% "electrified" mix globally by the same year.

The press release photos show a bunch of futuristic vehicles, but a likely scenario is that the majority of those "electrified" vehicles Nissan will sell in the US over the next decade will be existing models with hybrid powertrains.  Europe will get most of the new skateboard electric platforms like the Ariya.

Nissan needs a pathfinder to get to it's maximal market share, while also demonstrating versatility by continuing to produce gas-powered cars for the US market

Nissan can't afford to go rogue here, even though we'll get kicks out of it

Between their "styling" and unbelievably reliable transmissions, I can't understand why more people with bad credit aren't rushing out to buy these pinnacles of automotive excellence.

Nissan is a micracosm of the industry, even if they're not at the sentra of events.
