There's something amusing to how the marketplace has out-commercialized each other regarding Black Friday to the point that it doesn't really exist anymore, by doing things like "this year, Black Friday starts on November 1st!".

CSB: I had to buy a new fridge in September and got a model that was $500 off for some "end of summer sale" at the home despot. That same fridge is now only $100 off for Black Friday.

Waiting for a specific time of year to buy something is generally pretty foolish, especially as they know they've got you over a barrel with Christmas season coming up.

25-30 years ago, Black Friday meant being able to go to Walmart and Target and load up on new Christmas decorations on the cheap. Now they ship those back and sell off the crap that doesn't sell and for all of 10% off.

First you bait the hook...
