Looks pretty cool, but how long do they have until that kid's going to need its own space? A couple of years? Then do they try to cram in another bedroom, or say goodbye to all their hard work and get a real house, or will their kid just grow up to be one of those well-adjusted people who slept in their parents' bed until they were way too old?

They spent way too much time on the vehicle and making it look like Burning Man and not traveling and having fun. Are you legally dumping, where is the trash and black water going?
As a person who just lived for 2.5 months in a tent using a porta potty outside it is not bad. The hardest part was wrangling my cats all the time from tent to cat tent.

This is Pumpkin in my tent.

Not bad, 10 foot by 10 foot, so 100 square feet.

mad cowboy: mad cowboy: A year ago this December I bought a tiny house. Or at least a small house, it's 20 by 24 ft for a whopping 480 square feet.  It takes a lot of adjusting to live in a small house. The first thing I did was leave at least half if not more of my stuff behind.

I think my apartment is just under 600 sq./ft.  When I first moved in we also had access to a 8x10 or so storage room, but after they got sued a couple times for flood damage (some of the buildings have some basement flooding issues, but not all of them) they took those away and use them for their own supplies.  Then they converted us from electric heat to natural gas, but that cost us a closet.  (I also had a 10x12 shed at my mother's house).  I don't think of 480 sq./ft. as quite tiny house territory but you are getting to it... but with that basement, as long as it's dry that's a lot of storage space.

If I could afford it I'd really like something a fair amount bigger... two more rooms- one for my music, one for a workshop, ...

That sounds nice. I lived in a triplex, 2 bedroom 2 floors. It was nice and super cheap, but having neighbors so close bugged me. Plus my landlords kept dying on me. Before  the third one died he sold the place and I had to go. I have a lot of work to do on the place, I think that comes with a mortgage. [Fark user image image 850x637]

Do you have electricity and running water?
