I wouldn't call what he was doing for children "entertainment". Not their entertainment, at least.

He's one of my favorite actors, but he's been in some truly terrible movies. I thought maybe he'd had a number of divorces in his wake for which he'd need the cash. Nope.

He was great in the Watchmen series. Watching him play some weird demiurge, figuring out who he was supposed to be, was amazing.

Listen to the audio book version read by Irons... He was so well suited to reading it that you almost forget that the character is a villain protagonist and unreliable narrator.

He was no Hans Gruber but he was pretty good as his brother. Stole a lot more money too.

Being a Cronenberg fan, I saw that movie when it first came out. I STILL remember being disturbed just by seeing those instruments.

He was phenomenal in that. I thought the movie depiction if Ozymandias was an interest character, but Jeremy Irons really hit the eccentric side of him that the movie downplayed.

According to IMDB, he's got about the same amount of roles as Nic Cage, who has more than his fair share of terrible films.  That feels about right.  Doesn't seem to say no very often.

Jeremy Irons's Alfred > Michael Caine's Alfred > Alan Napier's Alfred > Michael Gough's Alfred.

Fight me.

Jeremy Irons made you believe he was also a badass agent for Her Majesty's Secret Service before becoming a butler. Michael Caine too, sort of.
