Like since 2000. You've been under a rock.  Both ears was the same time  New Era ball caps was wore like they was nice dressing up. Like with a botton down shirt and pressed jeans and Jordan's.

Colleges should stop supporting fraternities/sororities.
If a bunch of idiots want to live in a house together, that's their business, but it should have nothing to do with the college.

Eh, another dumbf*ck college student dies for being a dumbf*ck. Perhaps his family should have raised him to not be so stupid. Zero sympathy. I raised my kids to know about that bullshiat. If his parents didn't, they are shiatty parents.

Yes, he was stupid. Yes, he made a fatal mistake. Perhaps someone can tell me a year where a dumbf*cking college idiot didn't die for their stupidity. It will always happen. It has always happened.

Some people exist to be examples for everyone else. The problem with frats and sororities is that they attract the stupidest people in the country.

It's a great workout! I have a punching BOB and 3 straight minutes of punching and ducking will definitely show you how out of shape you are. Start here.

As for real boxing/sparring in a boxing gym, the trainer isn't going to get you beat up because you still have to pay him. It will still hurt, but the experience you gain is invaluable. Real fights in real life are incredibly dangerous and last maybe 60 seconds. Being able to read a single punch or size up a situation properly might save you and your loved one's life.

NOT knowing how to fight but fighting anyway will get you killed, like in the article.

CSB A long, long time ago it a bar far, far away they used to have 3 round smoker matches. 2 guys get up and duke it out for like $50.  Mostly it was a couple of buddies who decided to see who was tougher.  Mostly the fights looked like yoi would expect with no real skill and lots of wild haymakers.  But they had a legit ref and two corner men who knew what they were doing.  Saw some people lose quickly but never saw anyone get the shiat beat out of them.  If it went the distance (most didn't) winner was determined by applause.  Bonus, $1 Kamikazes.

Seems normal to me, not sure people are still doing just the one ear. That's when there was a gay and straight side, right? All very 90s at this point.

Meh, I just remember hearing the gay ear rule as a kid in the 90s, but by the time I was a teen in the 00s it wasn't a thing anymore. The hankerchief code is more interesting anyway.

I learned about it from a coworker in my time here in SF during pride month a few years back, and let's just say you can find out way too much information about random strangers sexual preferences because of it. Some really wild shiat has a color code.

Yeah, it definitely dates to early 90s at least. 94 was when I was finally able to convince my mom to let me get it done, left side is cool, right side is gay (according to the stupid lore at the time)

Like a year ago I was at work and one of the under-20 people I worked with was like "dude, is your ear pierced?" "... No? Wtf are you talking ab-, oh, shiat, yeah it is, totally forgot about that"

Dating apps and greater acceptance of homosexuality made a whole bunch of skills like cruising and reading the hanky code obsolete. And .... that's not a bad thing.

About 1992 or 93 on Super Bowl Sunday I lost a bet and they pierced my left ear. (left straight, right gay at the time)
They put a potato behind my my ear and punched it in. I left it in for a year then took it out.  Still have the dimple.  My daughters who are 15 and 17 now can't believe I had a pierced ear.

that's why American football, boxing, "professional wrestling", etc still exist.  Stop supporting this crap by watching.  Same holds true for everything from dog fighting to honor killings.  (hold your "oh no he didnt just link"s until the end)  it all comes down to people watching deplorable things become acceptable when a CROWD takes part.   Lynching takes a crowd, rioting takes a crowd, etc.

Comparing football, boxing, and wrasslin to honor killings and lynchings is actually insane. Might wanna reel that one in a bit.
