Zero? Never been to the shoe, but the big house is the best place I've ever been, or ever seen in my life. Every single person that has been there, who isn't a whiny little biatch will agree

It farking sucks. It does. I hate it. I hate the cocky tOSU fans, because they have every right to be cocky. They have Michigan's number. And even this year, enjoying every single Michigan game, thinking "holy shiat, we're really good this year", it's still not good enough. I'd bet that theoretical million on Michigan vs Bama. But farking a we just can't beat that team down south. We just farking can't. I honestly believe I'll die before it ever happens again. And I'm just about to be 40. It. farking. Sucks.

CSB: Back in the late 80s I was in HS in NW Ohio and our wrestling team went to a week long camp at UM. They were pretty good back then, OSU wrestling not so much. Anyway, they gave us a tour of the campus and the stadium, I spit on the big M on the 50 yard line.

It's not actually hard to explain.

"Once upon a time, Michgan vs Ohio State was a competitive rivalry.  In the year 2007, Michigan was coming off a great season, in which yes they did have a close loss to rival Ohio State, but they finished 10-2 and played in the Rose Bowl.  And this year, things would only be better, with many of the best players returning.  Michigan was conservatively ranked #5 in preseason polls.

"The very first game was a team from a lower division, that Michigan added to the schedule to get an additional home game (as many strong teams do once or twice, or thrice if they're from the SEC, a season).  This team was known as Appalachian State...."

10 year?  Go another 10 years before that win to find another.

The series hasn't been competitive in 20+ years.  It isn't really a rivalry anymore, the outcome is 99.9% certain.

In my betting pool of about 20 family and friends only three took Michigan at +6. And to my knowledge no one has a dog in that fight.

And Tennessee hasn't beaten Alabama since 2007.  It's an unfortunate side effect of the current arms race; two programs have entered another stratosphere of success, and it's made some traditional games one-sided.  These rivalries could go the route of Tulane-LSU someday.

Thus giving rise to one of the greatest jokes ever.

How many batteries does it take to shock ❌ichigan?

First of all it is a form of child abuse or neglect to raise a child to be a Michigan football fan.
But if you have already crossed that bridge and have a sad little Michigan rug rat in the household then, to keep the damned thing from crying every year like you do, you might as well lie to it too. Youve already fuqed up its happiness and sanity what is a few lies added to the mix. Just convince it that football wins and losses are based upon random luck instead of skill. Tell it that Ohio Stat just got lucky a few times in a row , they are not better at coaching and laying and preparing than Michigan is. That should get you by until it is 13 or so.

PS dont forget to teach it tohowl and moan every time a penalty is called against Michigan. You wouldnt want it to not be a snowflake with conspiracy theories of payed of refs swimming around in its head too. And get rip roaring drunk when you watch the games with it. Kids love that

UNC_Samurai And Tennessee hasn't beaten Alabama since 2007.  It's an unfortunate side effect of the current arms race; two programs have entered another stratosphere of success, and it's made some traditional games one-sided.

This. Ohio State has won 17 out of the last 20 and Michigan still leads the series. That's a pretty dramatic change.  Part of it is corruption, part of it is Michigan hiring a couple of head coaches that weren't a great fit before they got Harbaugh.  I don't know how Michigan is ever going to completely close the gap in recruiting but they seem to have improved a bit.

Botkin of the Yard: Part of it is corruption,

If being corrupt won football games then the Penn State Sanduskies would be undefeated  for decades.

mikaloyd If being corrupt won football games then the Penn State Sanduskies would be undefeated  for decades.

As I recall, the corruption at Penn State involved covering for a pedophile.  Tressel and Meyer were a different story.  So yeah, corruption wins games.  Look at SMU in the 80s.  Or the entire SEC.

Only because wins and losses are included from like 1900 to 1940 - which are completely irrelevant to today's game.

Ah yes, 1940.  The year they reduced the game from eight quarters to four, shortened the field to 100 yards and changed the ball to the one we see today, after finally abandoning the goat head wrapped in cloth.  All college football before 1940 may as well have never happened.

Bears fan born after the Super Bowl?

How cute. My dad and my grandmother never saw the Cubs win the World Series. You have no idea what futility feels like.

Also, the team hates you, just like they hate everyone else.
