I have discovered the smallest decimal palindrome prime with at least 10000 digits.

Isn't 10001 a palindrome prime?  😕

1) no
2) it's the smallest prime thats more than 10000 digits long, not the smallest prime that's greater than 10000

There are female math geeks that'd be just as jazzed, or dude math geeks if that's what they're into

I'd say this is a Christmas miracle, but we're still in the Thanksgiving penumbra.

I bet he's touched a few 8008s in his time.

That's a weird flex, but ok. 3.5 days to find it seems like a bit of a waste for the laptop to just sit there crunching on it. Throw it up onto a distributed compute platform and do it in minutes.

Could likely mine up bitcoin just figuring it out

There has to be someone whose fetish is to sext in ASCII on ancient low baud rate gear.

In the interests of completeness, the latter is 10301.

Okay this is kind of weird.  I had wrote a quick script to see what the smallest factor with five digits is since the question came up, and for shjts and giggles, I thought I'd run it to see the smallest prime palindrome with six digits is.

All palindromes with an even number of digits are a mulitple of 11.  There are no prime palindromes with an even number of digits.

You probably need to be looking on IRC.

Oh, and all of the people talking about numbers near 10,000-- he was looking at things with over 10,000 digits.  So 10^9999.

/ 10**9999 if you're using Fortran

That's pretty misogynistic; are you saying women can't be math nerds?

Also in the interests of pedantry:
2) it's the smallest *palindrome* prime that's more than 10000 digits long, not the smallest prime that's greater than 10000

(to be honest though, I have no idea if there's a smaller non-palindrome prime that's more than 10000 digits)
