The same company sells both a Samsung and an iPhone, which is nothing but a standard phone, with a 1kg gold bar glued on the back.

So, it'll suck to use.

They also sell it for 5* the gold value, though, I know from another review, they allow you to change the phone three times.

Woops, this is the correct video.

I saw a review of the phone, which was a normal Samsung, with a 1kg gold bar glued onto it. Normal Samsung cables and charges as well. Just heavy, and unhandy, and 5* the gold price.

The only reason to buy a phone like that is because you can show the ability to conspicuously consume like it doesn't matter.  In other words, to flaunt your wealth, because the people you know will know what it costs.

As much as I wouldn't mind having F-U money, I don't think I'd be inclined to spend it on F-U bullshiat.  Even when I have bought something where I opted for the more expensive version with enhanced features, it's because those features served a practical benefit for me, not merely as ostentatious ornamentation.  Call it being on the beneficial side of the Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness, being able to afford that more expensive thing that actually did last many times longer than the cheap, mass-market equivalent.

Its a lack of class to portray your wealth like that, to me I can't help but assume that someone who does that either comes from very special circumstances, or is a rich boy airhead.

I don't think I'd ever be able to purchase bullshiat, its just not in my upbringing. Even though now, I actually could live 6 months per year at some hotel in Vietnam, like a king (6 months, because the terms of my pension requires me to stay half of the time in Denmark.).

"These new items embody the soul of Elon Musk and, therefore, they will bring their owners the success and creativity of this outstanding individual," wrote company founder Sergey Kitov in the release.
The bust material comes from the metal of a blue Tesla Model 3 (which has a starting price in Russia of around $58,000), Head of Marketing Dmitrey Stoliarov told Insider.

Sounds about right.
