I looked it up, and it has something to do with Pepperidge farm cookies that are covered in chocolate and pecan bits

No idea. As far as I know, no Canadian ice cream companies have declared war.

Anti-vax employees are calling for people to boycott the company.  Guess who will be on the chopping block next quarter when earnings are down.

Dumbasses.  (But I repeat myself since they are anti-vax)

So if the company spends $10k on wheelchair ramps, can the non-wheelchair folks expect a check?

They're a really good company, when they had a fire that shut down a plant they kept paying the employees during the rebuild.

They gave the employees a permanent COVID raise when most other places that bothered to give a COVID raise just did it for a few months.

They won't need to lay anyone off, the antivax here are like 10-15% of the population at the most.

A very dumb and very loud minority.

YES, OF COURSE, since all these wheelchair folk (ie. unvsccinated) can actually walk but CHOOSE not to because they were convinced by fwd:fwd:fwd: that it violates their "freedumb" and "walking is what the communist deep state wants"

If there are any employees that have a bonafide medical reason not to get the vaccine, that doesn't have to do with any conspiracy bullshiat, then give them the $40 weekly bonus too. PROTIP: there aren't

Keep it civil, people. It's Friday and 1/3 of the holiday season is over, so at least there's that.

But really, this is better than firing them like many did in the US. I'm wondering if a tax break for the vaccinated could work. Hopefully it would work better than the child tax credit "incentive."

He/She/They are kidding. There is no way jjorsett could be so breathtakingly stupid to actually suggest that in even a quasi-satirical way. jjorsett would have to be an idiot of the first order THE FIRST ORDER to think that way.

Ironically these plague rats should be treated as second class, I would go further and completely isolated them from society. I would go further to prevent the spread of stupidity by further sterilizing the lot of them. Human slime pure and simple and they just die to farking die off already.

And BTW Chapman's has a stellar reputation here in Canada. They are going to be $$$ing nicely BECAUSE of the would-be boycott. My Facebook feed is full of folks who are buying extra ice cream. Now, they tend to be the sort of people who require very little motivation to eat more ice cream, but that doesn't matter to Chapman's. They are going to make pralines and cream out of this rocky road. Especially in cannabis-friendly Canada with all our heavenly hash.

Troll feeding rules notwithstanding...

If being in a wheelchair was A CHOICE and had the potential of HARMING OTHERS and proof of NOT USING A WHEELCHAIR was already required for attending schools, entering the country, etc., then maybe you'd have something akin to a valid argument.

Anti-vaxxer idiots know (or should be accountable for not knowing) the consequences for not getting the farking vaccine. Anti-seat belters learn the hard way. So so those who don't provide the necessaries of life for kids up here in Canada (I know it's an awkward term, but it's the correct one).

I work with some folks who are risking it all for their anti-vax stance. The curious thing is they are articulate, otherwise smart people (much smarter than I am in some cases...I know that's not too hard). They also tend to be community-minded and have demonstrated their commitment to the community time and again. There's some kind of misfire in their brains. It's common enough to make me think it's a byproduct of evolution. I pity them because it would be too farking easy to get the jab. It would literally solve their most pressing problems.

Last summer, corporate announced a bonus for showing proof of vaccination.  It started as a $50 one time payment, they raised it to a $100 payment.  And you could get the second $50 if you had already collected the first half.

In addition they had weekly drawings across the entire enterprise for two people on the vaccinated list to each receive $15,000.  And in October grand prize was $50,000. Second prize was a new keep, and third prize was a weeks paid vacation at one of the locations.

I don't know what the overall employee response was.   But I believe it was very high.

Nobody is owed my labor and nobody owes me their money.  If I told my boss I intended to get sick and die, he'd find someone else to do my job; same as if I told him I intended to take a two-month bender.  Bad judgment is not a protected class.

The government should have tied stimulus checks to vaccination. And they should be renewing it every time they expand eligibility or boosters

I now want either a puppy driving a steamroller or a giant puppy that steamrolls. I think I'd prefer the puppy that drives, if only for the fact that the giant steaming piles left by the latter would rival the posts of the farker to whom you are responding.

What an idiotic statement. The issue isn't "question what is asked of you" but refusing to conform to health and safety rules in the workplace. And yes, I follow all the health and safety rules in my workplace. If I have a question as to why a particular rule exists, I'll ask. Maybe I'll agree, maybe I won't but I absolutely won't just refuse to follow it and then be shocked that I get fired.

The nephew got a $200 bonus for getting his Covid 5g bioluminescence God killing shot.  He works in a warehouse so the bosses can track him better being 5g and glowy.  Also, now that he has no higher power to report to, he can worship hard work, I guess.

Can't justify two Benjamins to someone who won't do that for the warehouse company.
