Orbital kinetic weapons.  Fun times.

Nice. NASA and SpaceX doing good work. It'd be nice if Elon would shut it, but nice.

We should shoot Elon at an asteroid.

Meh.  I used to think that way, until I realized that it's the assholes who get shiat done.

Musk doesn't get shiat done. Musk buys his way into companies who were already getting shiat done and takes credit.

Another word vomit from Lorde Edge?  Anything remotely useful or interesting?  No?  How unsurprising.

/pay your taxes Elon

It's finally payback time. Those jerkwad asteroids have had it too good for too long.

This is going to end up with Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos reenacting Armageddon, isn't it? And their team will consist of the guys from Gold Rush.

For a guy with a physics degree, he ain't too bright if he thinks the asteroid is still up there. the inelastic collision is kind of the reason the dinosaurs died

This mission is like a high school science project with billionaire backers.

Preach. The tech his ventures have created have improved some things in my life. But sometimes I do wish he had a filter.

The real reason Tesla doesn't have a public relations department is because they need all that money to pay the team of writers that come up with Musk's tweets.

It's likely that we wouldn't be here had the dinosaurs not been cleared out.

Yeah, because Tesla had a car on the road when Musk bought them, and SpaceX had been re-using boosters for like forever when he acquired it.

That was sarcasm, btw.  Just in case it wasn't clear.

Space X was founded by Elon Musk.  I know he gives you a raging veiny hate boner that stands erect at his name just waiting for a hand to finish it off and blow a stream of ejecta that pierces the basement ceiling.

Don't believe the psychopaths trying to justify their own existence. These things would get done anyway, just not as quickly, and without them we would have less problems needing to be solved overall. The idea that people like this are necessary is a fantasy they've created based on their own "all or nothing / black and white" fantasy world.

Think about it this way: If there is something inherent to being a psychopath that is necessary to 'get shiat done', then that shiat is not worth getting done on their terms.

Anything is an elastic collision if it's fast enough.

This asteroid mission was started by NASA, not Musk.

And although there seems to be a lot of Musk hate here, SpaceX restarted spaceships, and has the best ships atm.   Yes, Musk didn't do the engineering, but he did enable it.

Now, should Elon be on social media?   Nooooo..    But then, there are many people who shouldn't be on social media.   Actually, the question really is, should anybody be there...

Spacex launched this spacecraft for the usual reason -- they got paid to do it, and were the lowest bidder.

Others are.  He's treating them as an army, not independent actors.

Anyway, he's trying to distract people from the fact that another of his rockets managed to defect to deep space.

Would you like to make the argument that it would be just as likely or more likely that we'd be here just as we are if the dinosaurs had been spared? Or did you just feel the need to call someone names in a way that's not very bright?

I'll give you credit if it's both things.
