Scrying is a Wiccan word for a type of divination/fortune telling where one determines significance by perceiving shapes in abstract patterns found in damn near anything.

You might've done some scrying while looking at clouds and seeing shapes of familiar, random things.

Scrying is useful for drawing random, realistic, pictures from abstract pencil noise. Use erasers to edit scribbled pencil clouds into what you see, use the pencil to add clouds where you need them. Trace it with a pen. Let dry! Then erase all the pencil marks. BOOM! CONGRATUFARKINGLATIONS you CAN draw!

Crystal balls are common scrying tools.

I haven't found a better word for seeing shapes in random garbage that scrying.

Thanks, Witches!

if you have a current flat screen LED TV and it's not working - there are only (usually) five things that can break on them - the screen, the power board, main board, t-con board, or the LED backlights. in my experience 85 percent of the TV's I've fixed are because of the backlights - don't turn the brightness of your TV up to 100 percent - they weren't designed to run at that brightness and the LED's burn out. run them about 80 percent and they'll usually last forever.

10 percent is something wrong with the power board, and very rarely do you have a bad main board, t-con board, or screen (unless it's smashed) but they can happen.

/and if you have a Samsung that stops working, 110 percent of the time it's because the backlights burnt out. change out the LED strips, turn down the brightness, and they'll last nearly forever

In my experience, most LCD displays that stop working without external damage do so because capacitors inside of them fail, and replacing those caps with ones that are roughly of the same values usually restores functionality.

You'll need two kinds of erasers if you want the power to draw anything with inexpensive tools.

The regular erasers you're used to, any is fine if they're fresh. They go stale.

A kneaded eraser. Most people aren't familiar with these erasers. They're mandatory drawing tools. Mash them around then press the newly exposed insides on your pencil drawing, then gently lift it. It makes the pencil lines fainter but still visible at about 50% of what they were.

Then you can choose:
- to leave it as shading
- trace pencil lines you want to keep
- easily use the other eraser to clear away the remaining 50% intensity lines

They make erasing much more complete.
They prevent the erasers your familiar with from mashing excess graphite into the paper.

That all said.
Use poster putty as kneaded erasers instead of that grey shiat.

if it's a power board failure - then yes you're right. most likely it's a bad cap that's preventing the board from generating the correct voltages. some boards it will even be one of the diodes that burn out and you have to unsolder one at a time to figure out which one is the problem.

but in my experience, I see far more burnt out LED's (or even an entire strip that's grounding to the chassis) that's the issue. if you buy a $300 TV on black friday and wonder how they can make them that cheaply, it's because they wire the LED's in serial like old fashioned Christmas lights and one burnt LED causes the entire array to fail

/just my experience. Hisense TV's - I'm looking at you and your crappy design
//and there's far more tape inside your TV than you'd imagine
