I'm glad to see they didn't immediately eat it.

Knows why they are rare....

Ultra-rare?  Literally the exact same article was on Fark almost a year ago.  One-in-a-million my butt.

The odds of catching a cotton candy lobster are 1 in 100 million.

Anytime I see statistics like this my suspicionometer goes off the charts. If they said 1 in 45.6 million it would be slightly more believable. I doubt anyone has done a thorough study of lobster coloration to derive any statistical figure whatsoever.

Maybe that is what ITs final form should have looked like.

Because, I can't put a finger on why, but that thing makes me vaguely unsettled and not a little uncomfortable. Maybe it's the way I feel it's staring right into my soul and wondering how it will taste.

Tastes the same. The coloration doesn'T change anything for the lobster... it's still food

/ Do you have to dip it in Blue cheese?
// Or would a roquefort dressing do?

Hey, if spiders tasted like lobster and were big enough to make it worth the trouble, I'd probably eat them.

How do you know they don't taste like lobster?

I wouldn't call it Cotton Candy. I would call it Opalesque. But that's just my preference. I don't remember cotton candy being so shiny and shimmery.

My cats seem to think they do.

Ours likes the little lizards that live in my garden here in Florida.  She loves the hunt.  I typically make her spit them out before she eats them, but every now and then she slips one past me.  Then she promptly throws it up.
