Oumph! tastes dire. The worst of all of the plant/fungus-based "meat-like" replacements.

Genius! A meat substitute for a meat that no one in their right minds has had!

They'll never know the difference!

Eating the bloodied flesh of another animal is pretty disgusting whether it's a cow, a chickan, an ape, or a human.  Those who are upset by this need to do some soul-searching.

I'd give it a try. I'm always on the hunt for a better veggie burger.

Step 1 in avoiding horror movies featuring this exact same scenario:
Check to make sure they're actually using plants.

I'd rather eat the fake human meat.

The pilot was actually Bob and Linda grinding up a corpse. So with that in mind, them keeping abreast of the health inspector has an entirely different aspect to it.

Plus their relationship to Fischoeder and so on. You can't watch that show the same way after knowing these things.

Things that are flavored like things don't necessarily really taste like those things.

Also, who's gonna know if it does? Actually, don't answer that question.

"We developed this burger in no time as soon as we knew what taste and texture we were after."

Ok. In order to KNOW that, one would need to eat LOTS of real human flesh. And have blind taste tests with MANY volunteer tasters and such, to compare the new product to the real Fresh-from-the-Firefly-Clan Human Meats.

And I'll assume IF they did so, they wouldn't be advertising it globally.

So this is just another "lab meat" fake out, but one with an "edgey" marketing hook. It's stupid.

These companies full of "faux meats" aren't about helping the planet OR pleasing existing vegans, they just want to make money.

And they are competing for the best gimmick to lure in the most curious people.
