I can't express how hellish it is that after so many years of little to nothing, there's more Star Trek being produced than ever....and it's all complete shiat

We Star Wars fans had a similar wish on a Wookie's Paw

Well the Mandalorean's good and I'm optimistic about Obi Wan.

"Similar to the spider verse" reminds me of how many times I heard the phrase "like Mario Kart" in the games industry.

Too many. Too many of the times.

Given how many of us are hungry for more boundary-pushing projects from the beloved sci-fi franchise, consider this music to our ears.

What?

I remember being "wowed" back when there are two ST shows and movies (such as they were) were still running. Now I don't watch either show and skipped the last film. I'm not the type to grow out of things so I'm pretty sure it's not me.

Mega Steve: My wife and I watched Star Trek: Prodigy, and liked it. Problem was, the whole thing felt Star Warzy (apart of Holo-Janeway at the end)

I also enjoyed the premiere episode and found it Star Wars AF. That said, two things:

1. I'm really not a fan of the holographic controls that are on every Trek show now.

2. The big "reveal" will be that they're in post-Federation dystopian galaxy...again. That's Kurtzman shiatting on Roddenberry's legacy. Creatively bankrupt piece of shiat.

that.

but you know, Roddenberry had plans for a post-federation galaxy. Its the notes on those cocktail napkins that they made "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" out of.

Welp, just more proof that most of the people currently running Trek are unimaginative hacks.

Try rewatching old Trek sometime XD

Tell me that 2/3rds of the original episodes aren't total garbage. Voyager was a disaster. Maybe half of TNG is decent. Even DS9 has a lot of garbage. And Enterprise...nobody cares about Enterprise.

Say what one will of Discovery and Picard, Lower Decks at least is pretty entertaining.

Who and how many?

Please, I'm only curious as to how will Alex Kurtzman will fark this up too.

Now with his annoying throw everything at the wall to see what sticks and
let's start with the kiddies to point them to the IP with a program that is only nebulously tethered
to the source material. (more SW than ST)

Since you have to start somewhere after alienating the original fanbase.

/this "advertorial" is very unconvincing.
//and no, I dread the day when I get to see 3D re-animated revoiced simulacrums
of deceased and near deceased beloved actors.

That's very true. The situation isn't so dire. But boy, those years after ROTJ... where we just wanted ANYTHING.
