Yeah, accents are such a liability for an otherwise incredibly attractive woman

Were it not for her accent she wouldn't be world famous and married to a billionaire.

I feel similarly sorry for Sofia Vergara, who is similar to Salma in one or two ways.

2021-10-28 6:07:08 PM
Yeah, that accent of hers,,,really. The beautiful face, the huge boobs but that sultry Latina accent...I'm literally gay now.

She could have maybe learned to speak in different accents like everyone else does in her field of work.

2021-10-28 6:17:26 PM
The first film I saw her in was Drunk Parents with Alec Baldwin. I liked it a lot because it went all over the place and I couldn't predict where it would be in the next scene. It's a fun and funny movie to watch.

Mila Kunis let it slip today that Salma is going to be on Hot Ones next Thursday, which should be realllllll fun.

"The whole thing was so bizarre, because Antonio and I really struggle because of our accents," Hayek told Yahoo Entertainment

Oh that's silly, I thought his "Arab" was absolutely delightful and spot-on.

I wouldn't watch that movie if it was showing on Salma Hayeks back while I rode her like a bucking bronco.

Her, Penelope Cruz and Sofia Vergara would make a particularly annoying "The View".

Studio executives were not enthused with reports that Salma Hayek would be cast in the film, and in a meeting suggested to Adam Sandler that they continue looking until they could get a "less ethnic" actress in the part. Sandler then told them he'd already offered Hayek the role and she'd accepted, adding that he would not consider re-casting the part and warned them not to bring the subject up again.

WTF was that? Was someone off camera holding a gun on her, telling her to look as ridiculous as possible or he'll kill her seven children?

I'm curious which film industries have many prominent stars who speak the country's language with a thick accent. (And of those stars in foreign film industries, how many would say they "did not face any struggles due to their accent"?)
Bob Sapp in Japan? David Hasselhoff in Germany? But that's just entertainment, not headliners of feature length films.

I just looked at her IMDb and I realized, I don't remember her from anything. I've seen "Four Rooms" , "Desperado" and "Dogma". I know what she looks like, maybe she doesn't get good parts?

Um, what? I've only seen a movie or two that either of them are in but they're both successful enough that I know their names and what they look like. Is that struggling? Sheesh, you can't go 2 days without Salma in the pop news.
