Wall Street Journal really loves fake billionaires.  An MBA isn't worth the fake money it's printed on.

They're never gonna get the Murdoch stink off of themselves now.

What's so tempting about jumping into the clutches of a criminal rich kid?

It never ends in anything but tears.

tl;dr - TFG is still saying words, this time as a WSJ letter to the editor.

// although there is a great quote by Amanda Carpenter, director of Republicans for Voting Rights: "Trump couldn't post this on Facebook but the editors at the WSJ collectively decided to put it on their platform."
// it is more than a little weird that they published it as a letter to the editor and not an op-ed, right?

How these filthy rich arseholes ever courted enough votes to have this much power is really hard to comprehend.

If there was anything more than the usual childish whining and debunked lies in that letter, I'd be shocked.

Not going to read it, because I can't read anything coming from him without hearing it in his voice and the sound of his voice makes me want to stab my eardrums with an icepick.

Guy who won't and/or can't stop lying doesn't?

In fact this time he lies on the pages of what was once a fairly respectable albeit blatantly conservative newspaper which has devolved into just another Rupert Murdoch owned propaganda dumpsterfire.

What next? A stirring Op-Ed on how conservative voices are being silenced?

Cos that would be genuinely amusing to me by this point.

In My World, I won!  Bigly!  I'm still President.  Never impeached, fully vindicated.  I paid off the national Debt.  Highways and roads are fixed.  Covid went away like the miracle I predicted because I AM CHOSEN BY GOD!  Everyone who opposed me and my programs have been rounded up and and converted to fossil fuel.  Ivanka loves me (but she's getting old).  I will rule for four, maybe eight more terms.

In my world, this is all true.

The WSJ is instrumental in getting the investment class, i.e. paleocons, to give up absolutely everything, especially the lives of others, to accept right-wing bullshiat wholesale in exchange for a few ducats. Right-wing media has aligned an extensive range of humanity with Trumpism and this sort of shiat is working to get these folks, normally dubious about Trump, in line too.

Every time I see Failed Republican Ex President Donald Trump making his tough-guy face like in TFA, it reminds me of how much I look forward to seeing him all slack and pasty and lying in a coffin.

And now that Dumpy has found a new public platform, he'll be anally dribbling a new letter to the editor to the WSJ every goddamn day now. And God help the WSJ editors is they don't print each and every missive from The Human Diaper rash from now on, because if they don't, Dumpy will scream I HAVE BEEN SILENCED or THE MSM HAS STRUCK AGAIN or whatever.

And it will utterly, endlessly please me if Dumpy sics his followers and the Repub party on the WSJ because they won't be his constant Twitter-replacement mouthpiece..

WSJ pays for an obvious poll every once in a while, just to claim that they can rub shoulders with the truth and deserve to be called legitimate.

Yup.  WSJ is the propaganda conduit to the plutocrat class - the folks that think "The Business of America is Business" is the real national motto and we just use E Pluribus Unum to appease the labor class.  It's old, so it must be reputable and reliable, because all old things are.  It was started in the Gilded Age and it never really grew out of it.

Well, ackshually...My MBA gave me the well-rounded business acumen needed to move up to an executive level in a publicly traded company. I've more than tripled my salary in the decade since I started my MBA program.

Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

A lot of Americans are extremely ignorant and poorly-educated, quite a few are also shockingly stupid on top of that. Throw in authoritarian parenting styles and a lifetime of being trained to unquestioningly follow the word of various authority figures through religious indoctrination and I can completely see where it came from.

It's more concentrated in rural areas, but there's plenty to go around in more populous places.

By what metric?  Not in earnings and not in net worth.  In rapes?  I think even for Trump that's high. Times he inappropriately touched his daughter?  Now we're getting closer to the truth, I think.

Forbes said he had a net worth of 2.1 in 2021.

I think he lost some during 2021, due to the pandemic, and the devaluing of his name.

He's fake in so many other way though.

Forbes publishes a list once a year. The 2.1bill. is the estimated total value of his assets.

Its not like he has a huge pile of money like Scrooge McDuck, but he must have quite a lot of liquid assets as well. Though, he can just live at Mar a Lago, which has all the things he likes, free for him since he owns it. So he doesn't really need cash.

I'm assuming this is in their shiatty "editorial" section, so it fits right in with the other garbage they put there. Peggy Noonan and other assholes who think Ex-President Useless farkwad is the best ever.

If you avoid that part, the rest of the WSJ is fine. I stick to the front page stories, the "Personal Journal" section and the special weekend sections (one is called "Mansion," LOL, in case you're wondering about the average income of WSJ readers).

I'm not arguing with Forbes, that seems like something anti-vaxxers does with scientists.

If I knew they didn't count his outstanding debts against his assets, then I'd reconsider his Billionaire status.

This is something one could research, but, I don't really care that much about it.
