The neat thing about science experiments is that sometimes nothing is an exciting result.

It's still pretty exciting stuff though. I've been reading about this previously. It looks like they've confirmed new physics of some sort which the standard model can't account for.

That they haven't overturned anything doesn't mean they haven't found anything - they just didn't find anything which overturns other discoveries, they're not sure yet what the explanation is behind what they found other than it appears to be real and not a fluke in the data. They found out that there's new subatomic physics going on which we don't know how to explain yet - that's some good stuff.
