If I had my way, not only would pets be treated as inanimate property, but human children as well.

It's not as if it takes tremendous intelligence and education to fark.

Spain has nothing better to adjudicate than dog custody?

Should be the goal of every other country.

Wonder how many dogs the litigants could have purchased with what they instead paid their attorneys.

In every instance I've ever heard of people fighting over a pet, one person really loves the pet and the other person is just being a vindictive twunt.

My ex and I agreed to share care our (now deceased) houndlings when we broke up. It worked so well that we continue share caring houndlings to this day. Three weeks on three weeks off. Boom and Herbs love the change of scenery and it means we never slack off with walkies etc. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all of that :)

An extra bonus is you don't need to pay for their care when going on holidays or away for work etc (not that that's been happening lately!)

Same with children.

I would have simply cut the dog in half and given each person who dared waste my time part of the dog.
/ The difference between my solution and Solomon's is I wouldn't have announced my plan so the couple could protest.  I'd just hand each person half a dog.
// Just kidding, I'd never hurt a dog.
