Again, the problem aren't the shiate candidates, it's the white supremacist scum that vote for them.

Oh, and voter suppression.

Oh, and once he resigned, then attorney general Hawley made the criminal charges vanish.. as long as he resigned, the rest didn't matter to him.

A political party that's strong and healthy wouldn't need to scrape the bottom of the barrel like this.
The GOP is f*cked.

A recent St. Louis Post-Dispatch editorial noted that the newest St. Louis mayor was going to work on crime.. but like all of her predecessors, nothing that would make a long term difference would ever be allowed by the state legislature.

Reasonable or moderate republican voters can solve these issues by voting in the primary or voting for the Democrat in the general. But they won't because they'll vote for the republican no matter what. Period. Every single time.

Why do you think they have ramped up on the cheating? Without a Voting Rights Bill passing in the Senate, they will be able to openly toss out election results that they don't like. They're not going anywhere any time soon...

It's a race to see who can be the most horrible person, and that's their king. Next election I expect to see them cheering as they punch babies and give the finger to a box of kittens.

From the title I SINCERELY thought you were talking about Corey "Womp-womp" Lewandowski. I guess I can't be blamed, considering how many shiatpumps are sucking at Trump's teat.

The cruelty -- and the sexual assault -- is the point.

2021-10-27 1:36:06 PM
There was never a bottom.

Ex-President Useless farkwad is just the latest He Who Cannot Be Questioned (it's usually a He, for the obvious reason).

They've always been this way. Have they always been this "extreme"? Well, fark, what's "extreme"? Outwardly racist? Yes, they've always been outwardly racist.

What's changed is Facebook and other "social media" that allows them to find other racist assholes and gives them the impression that their stupid shiat is more popular than it is (ie, the "nobody I know voted for Biden, so he couldn't have won" effect).

Now, is their stupid shiat way more popular than it should be? Yes, of course.

The last 5 or so years have been helpfully instructive on how many of these people there are: About 30%-35% of the adult population, so ... about 80 million people. That's valuable information we really didn't have before Ex-President Useless farkwad was elected.

How many are hardcore support, rather than just idiots who voted for him because his name was on a govt. check? fark if I know. 50 million? 60 million?

I guarantee you most of those people aren't prepared to "go to war." Most of them are happy to type shiat into Facebook, but are not gonna go all "Wolverine!" on the govt. they supposedly believe is illegal. They're still going to their jobs (or collecting a check from the same govt). They're still sitting at home or in Starbucks, typing stupid into their phone.

your naivete about the imminent downfall of the republican party is basically trolling at this point. are you really not aware of the many avenues they have to govern from the minority?

2021-10-27 1:37:09 PM
There is no bottom, per se, but there is definitely a conclusion or endpoint to these trends: candidates that directly and openly advocate literal fascism as their campaign. Not wink-wink-nod-nod type stuff, not coded language or misapplied things that are basically hate barely in disguise (e.g. the campaigns against "CRT" etc.), but outright literal open campaigns based on segregation(formally removing rights of certain populations), altering the structure of government (dictatorship or formal one-party rule), and all that good stuff.

2021-10-27 1:37:11 PM
Okay so either him or the slip and fall lawyer who pointed his gun at some protestors.  Either one gives democrats a chance.  Similar to Ohio where Josh Mandel will be running against a normal person.

Not a sure win by any means but far from impossible.

Forever? I hope not. But if they get the House & Senate, they will eventually get the WH too, one way or another, and then what will they pass on a national level?

Things generally DO get worse before the collapse.
The GOP aren't doing anything to stop the bleeding. They actually think they're winning. It's almost amusing really...but we're going to have to stomp them hard once they're down. Gotta make sure it sticks.

It's just a matter of time.

A majority of voters in Missouri, and a number of other states, have been brainwashed to believe that any accusations against god-fearing MAGA nationalists are conjured out of thin air and must be dismissed as satanic propaganda.  And any election won by a democratic candidate is fraudulent because as anyone who watches 6+ hours of Fox news a day can tell you that anyone who dare challenge the dear leader cannot be a legitimate human being and must be dismissed as such.

Elections become nothing more than red state kabuki where Jesus himself squares off against Socialisty McStrawman, and the 40-45 percent who vote to thwart god's will are nothing more than targets to be eliminated once the purge begins.

He'll win the primary and the general, it's already been decided.

I take it he'll win. These are people who voted for Trump. A history of crimes and sexual assault are not seen as a negative. If anything, they show what a virile, totally not PC woke manly man he is.

This is also the same political party that elected a guy to the US House and then the Montana governorship after he literally body slammed a reporter. Violence against people they don't like is a positive to Republican voters.
